    鞍馬寺の光明心殿と本坊の間を抜け、100mほど進んだところにある。入館料は200円。 1階には鞍馬山の動植物に関する「展示鞍馬山自然博物苑」が、2階には国宝の経筒、石宝塔などを展示する「寺宝展観室」と与謝野鉄幹・与謝野晶子の遺品等を展示する「与謝野記念室」がある。一番の見どころは3階の「仏像奉安室」。国宝の毘沙門天立像・吉祥天立像・善膩師童子立像、国重要文化財の聖観音菩薩立像などが安置されている。
