    Kyoto Kyoto-shi Sakyo-ku Oharashorinincho 107
This teahouse is best known for its Kyo-yasai udon. These udon noodles have three varieties of Kyoto vegetable, namely red shiso leaf, pumpkin, and carrot, blended into them. This allows guests to enjoy the natural flavor and fragrance of each of the vegetables. Each set comes with a saucer of grated yam and broth for dipping, allowing guests to enjoy them two different ways. The teahouse also offers Japanese sweets and other items, making it a great place to stop while visiting Sanzen-in Temple.

Kyoto Areas

around-area-map

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
