A five-minute walk from Keifuku Electric Railroad Arashiyama Station and a 10-minute walk from Saga-Arashiyama Station. This restaurant is located in the inner parlor on the first floor of the Yoshiya Main Restaurant, a restaurant which serves Saga cuisine and which is located a little ways east of the Togetsukyo Bridge on Sanjo-dori Street. Open to small groups from one to a maximum of 10 people, here customers can enjoy unique Kyoto cuisine such as a Saga boiled tofu tempura meal and a raw yuba tofu skin meal. The restaurant's original selections such as its yuba fondue meal, made with tofu skin and cheese, are also recommended. The restaurant has also been certified by the Kyoto Halal Council and can accommodate Muslim dietary needs. The restaurant's curry, croquettes, and karaage fried chicken are available for takeout.

First experience with traditional kyoto tofu cuisine. Delicate taste and the tofu was super smooth. Give it a go if you have never try it before.

Kyoto Areas

around-area-map

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
