    Kyoto Kyoutoshi Sakyou-ku Okazakikitagoshochou 46
This is an old-fashioned retro-western style restaurant that was opened more than 50 years ago in 1967. Demi-glace sauce made from variety of vegetables is abundantly used in most dishes on the menu. The omelet with rice, a popular menu, can be selected from three sizes: small, medium, or large. On the menu besides omelet, visitors can enjoy fried shrimp, fried chicken and hearty hamburg stake.

We tried the omurice, chicken Cutlet, beef hash on rice and the croquette. They were ok. Not bad. But nothing to queue for.

What a find. Tiny restaurant (10 seats). Run by a young couple opened 4 years ago. There is a menu and daily specials. Had some great food there.

This is a small and cozy restaurant with a young and talented chef (hes also the waiter). Although there were no meat-free dishes on the menu, the chef had no problem leaving the bacon out of the...

Kyoto Areas

around-area-map

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
