    This Italian restaurant is three minutes' walk from Sanjo station, on Kiyamachi-dori avenue. There are eight counter seats and eight table seats, creating a cozy interior. They serve Italian dishes made with plenty of seasonal ingredients. Their flagship dish is Carbonara, and is made with eggs from Yamada Farm, found in Kyoto's Ohara area. It is made to bring out the natural flavors of the eggs and pasta, without letting the rich cheese and fresh cream overpower. They offer several courses for different budgets based on an a la carte menu of appetizers, main dishes, and desserts.

    Every time I visit Kyoto I eat here. The ever-changing menu is creative and never disappoints. The owner-chef trained in Italy to perfect his skills. What you get is authentic.

The interior is a luxurious space with a Japanese atmosphere, including a slab bar counter and private rooms modeled after tea ceremony rooms. The restaurant’s exquisite food, prepared by a chef who trained in Italy, combines orthodox Italian with the delicate flavors and techniques of Kyoto. In addition to fine cuisine, the restaurant also offers a full wine menu. From May to the end of September, the restaurant erects a wood deck over the Kamo River, a Kyoto summer tradition.     This restaurant in an old machiya (townhouse) built more than 100 years ago allows guests to enjoy authentic Italian food within a Japanese space where one can sense the warmth of wood and the history of Kyoto. All of their in-house-made fresh pasta types are articles of pride created using a pasta machine from the time-honored Bottene company. They use a lavish amount of Kyoto vegetables and seasonal ingredients, and provide dishes that make the most of the ingredients’ taste from appetizers to pizzas and desserts. The restaurant offers a full series of course menus that can be used for anniversaries or birthdays. Guests can enjoy wine and have a memorable time while looking out at the charming inner courtyard.     This restaurant in a freestanding house next to the five-storied pagoda in the Higashiyama Ward of Kyoto City in Kyoto Prefecture serves authentic Italian food that is prepared primarily with Kyoto-produced ingredients. To offer a taste unique to Kyoto, they go so far as to use Kyoto water in their cooking in addition to Kyoto vegetables. Made with an effort to draw out the flavor, texture and appearance, their various dishes such as the mushroom risotto or lamb with charcoal-grilled vegetables (both standard items on the menu ever since it opened) are bound to capture the palate of gourmands.
