STIHL Forest, Kyoto is located in the shores of Lake Amawaka in the city of Nantan in Kyoto Prefecture. It features cabins and campsites that allow even people unfamiliar with camping to enjoy themselves. Visitors are welcome to bring their pets-there is even a dog run. A forestry museum, Shinyukan, provides education about forests, mountains and other natural environments. Visitors can even pay to try their hand at carpentry and build a shelf in the Woodworking Training Center.

This outdoor tour company offers fun rafting tours on Kyoto's Hozu River, one of the biggest white water rafting spots in Kansai. Although a reservation is required, it is possible to make a same-day booking as long as there is an opening. Their friendly and courteous guides assure that anyone age nine and above can safely enjoy rafting the rapids. Participants can also disembark from the boat and play in shallow areas of the river.

We book this rafting with internet. The base is 25 minutes from Kyoto using JR train pass (2 more station than Arashiyama). The staff is very nice and very professional. Our guide is Rinku from Nepal...

４月下旬の新緑の季節に乗船しました。桜や紅葉の季節は予約がとりにくいし、お値段も高くなるので、敢えて空いている時期を選びました。当日はお天気に恵まれて新緑がとても美しかったです。この時期だとトンネル内が寒いってこともないです。

"This forest park is located close to the ""Hanase Koryu no Morimae"" bus stop. The park's vast 1,000 hectare grounds encompass the Katsura River and Ado River headwater basin and visitors can enjoy seasonal outdoor activities like playing in one of the rivers and building a snowman. The park also has lodging facilities. The park center has tennis and volleyball facilities and is also used for concerts. Barbecuing is permitted in the park on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays and during the summer vacation period. There are many scenic destinations in the area such as the Bujoji Temple and a famous trio of majestic cedar trees known as the Hanase Sanbon Sugi, the tallest trees in Japan, and visitors can enjoy trekking as well. 良い点ロゴスの商品を実際に使えるので、購入の検討がしやすい。スタッフの対応も気持ちよく、心地よく過ごせた。駐車料金も良心的。悪い点チェックイン、チェックアウトにかなり時間がかかる。 bbqは一人前の料がかなり少なく、２人前で１人前と言った感じ。キャンプの擬似体験なので、赤ちゃん連れは結構辛い。雨の日は遊ぶところがない。
