"This restaurant is located in Marunouchi, Tsu City. It was opened in 1928 as a branch location of Tokyo's longstanding Toyoken ""yoshoku"" Japanese-style Western food restaurant. The restaurant serves staple tongue stew and hamburg steak set meals, and other yoshoku cuisine using Mie ingredients like Japanese spiny lobster and Matsusaka beef. The restaurant's black curry, made with Matsusaka beef tallow and secret recipe spices, has been its signature dish since it first opened its doors."

    Mie Pref. Matsusakashi Itakachouhachisu
Miyanodani Gorge is located in Muro-Akame-Aoyama Quasi-National Park in the city of Matsuzaka, Mie Prefecture. It is located on the upper reaches of the Hasu River, which flows through a nearly untouched natural area. Because the volume of water is small in proportion to the drop, Kazaore Falls is bent in the middle, and there is also a 60-meter Takadaki waterfall. Rock formations, such as Inutobi-iwa Rock and Rokkaku Byobu Rock, have given the gorge a reputation for its scenery. In addition, a four-kilometer path has been laid out in an old-growth forest, and the area is especially attractive in the fall, when the leaves change color.
  • Rokujuppiro Falls

    Mie Pref. Takigunodaichou Osugi
Rokujuppiro Falls is located in the park of the same name in Taki County, Mie Prefecture. This waterfall, which falls into Minogatani Valley along the shore of the lake formed by the Miyakawa Dam, was discovered during the Muromachi Period (1334-1615). When the drop of the falls was measured by dropping a rope in 1541, it was discovered to be 60 hiro (a hiro was a measurement of length equivalent to two outstretched hands), so it was named Rokujuppiro. The natural environment surrounding the falls is beautiful in every season, and scenic trails have been laid out so that visitors can easily walk around in the lovely scenery. On clear days, one can sometimes see rainbows in the falls.

Counted among the many wealthy merchants in Matsusaka with stores in Edo, along with Mitsui, Hasegawa and Nagai the high-ranking Ozu family served the Kishu clan as financiers in 1755. Inside the Matsusaka Merchant Museum which opened up as a museum in the former residence of Seizaemon Ozu, there is a man-ryo-bako (literally, a box to store 10,000 ryo) rather than the sen-ryo-bako (literally, a box to store 1,000 ryo) and gives one a sense of the influence of the wealthy Ise merchants who had a shop in Edo.

This cafe is like a secret hideaway about 10 minutes on foot from JR Kintetsu Matsusaka Station. It's in a renovated old kominka house that used to be a watchmaker's shop. It has a simple, relaxed atmosphere with unpretentious antique furniture. The only food they serve is curry soup. The roux is prepared with fresh cream and the curry has lots of vegetables. They also have homemade cake, coffee, and tea. Whatever you get, it will be excellent.

    食事のメニューは野菜たっぷりのカレーのみ、あとはデザートです。スパイシーな大人向けのカレーでした。静かでオシャレな雰囲気のカフェなので大人同士か一人でゆっくりするのに良いです。
