This store is adjacent to JR Matsusaka Station. It is known for its wide range of products ranging from food to accessories. They sell Matsusaka beef that they'll ship regionally, famous Matsusaka sweets, local cotton, marine products, and merchandise featuring a local character known as Chachamo. For a shop of its size, it has plenty to choose from and is perfect for your Mie and Matsusaka souvenir shopping. Lots of visitors stop by while waiting for the train, and the parking lot in front of the station makes it easy if you're coming by car.

    JR松阪駅と同じ駅舎、並びといったところでしょうか。お店そのものはお土産屋さんです。私自身は入店後すぐに牛肉コーナーへ、さすがに高いです。他にもいろいろ有ります。

Located approximately a five-minute drive from the Ise Expressway Seiwataki Interchange, this is the antenna shop of Kokekokko Republic, which has a large chicken signboard as its marker. Reasonably priced because it is a direct sales store, you can purchase and eat safe and fresh cage-free fertilized eggs and chicken meat. In addition to their famous tamago-kake gohan (raw egg over rice bowl) with all-you-can-eat eggs, their set with locally-raised chicken also gets good reviews. They also sell handmade cream puffs, pudding and castella sponge cake using plenty of cage-free fertilized eggs.

Mie Areas

around-area-map

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
