This treasure hall was constructed in the same Shinmei style as the main hall. It features thatch and cypress bark gabled roofing, a Hirairi style construction, and is distinctive with its raised flooring with balustrades in each corner. The ancient sacred treasures are stored inside. The Geheiden is separated into two separate shrines, the inner and outer shrines. Visitors can view the inner shrine up close, but the outer shrine cannot be viewed beyond the outermost fences. Like the main hall, the inner and outer shrines are renovated every 20 years in a ShikinenSengu ceremony.

This veteran izakaya Japanese pub is located about five minutes on foot from Kintetsu Iseshi Station. It fills up from the moment it opens with regulars and visitors from afar. They serve local Mie junmai sake and seasonal fish in a room with partitionless tatami floor seating. You're more than welcome at the counter if you come alone. Their pickled iwashi sardines, are a local favorite and just one of their famous dishes. They're made with fresh iwashi marinated in sanonto caramelized sugar and rice vinegar. Their assorted platter with seasonal seafood flavors and a variety of textures comes recommended, as does their squid dish called ikanuta, prepared with their homemade vinegar miso.

This Japanese-style sweet shop is located about 10 minutes from Ise Interchange on the Ise Expressway. Many people, including the locals, love the old-fashioned, simple, and gentle flavors of this shop with a retro atmosphere founded in 1575. Niken Chaya Mochi got its start at the harbor used by pilgrims coming to Ise Jingu Shrine by boat. It features koshian bean jam between thin mochi rice cakes dusted with kinako soy flour. Ise's oldest sweet, it's been handed down over the centuries, and its bamboo leaf wrapping tied with rice straw is elegant. Their brown sugar bean jam mochi rice cakes sold exclusively on the 25th of the month are also popular.

This Japanese confectionery shop is located a one-minute walk from Uji Bridge that leads to Ise Jingu Shrine's Inner Shrine. One of their specialties is kamiyo mochi, a historical product known as something given for travelers to eat on their pilgrimage, called okage-mairi, to Ise Jingu Shrine in Edo period. It looks like green, bite-sized kusamochi (rice cake with Japanese mugwort mixed in the dough). Using mochi rice milled from select red beans and brown rice, they use no preservatives and only natural mugwort for their color and aroma. It was awarded the Ministers Award at the 19th National Confectionary Exposition for its great taste, and has received the honor of being presented to the Crown Prince in 1975.

"This porcelain shop has been in business since the Edo period. The shop displays a collection of porcelain and Nishiki-e prints dating to between the end of the Edo period and the early Meiji period. The establishment is one of the ""Ise Street Corner Museums"" - small facilities run by born and bred Ise natives which introduce the living and breathing culture of Ise. There is an old 64-meter-long trolley rail running from the entrance of the shop to the back which was once used to haul merchandise, hinting at the prosperity once enjoyed by Ise City's Kawasaki district, which was known as the ""pantry of Ise."" In the shop's storehouse in the back (entry fee required), you can view Edo period porcelain as well as a variety of antiques and curios which convey what life was once like here."

Records state this ancient Buddhist temple was founded during the Tenpyo era (729-748). It is said the temple was founded in Kametanigo in what is now Maeyama-cho, Ise City by the great priest Gyoki on the order of Emperor Shomu as a place to pray for the spiritual protection of the state. In ancient times, the temple was a prominent base for the Mt. Omine Shugendo syncretic faith, with more than 10 sub-temples under its jurisdiction; today, however, only the temple's Itokuin temle building remains. There are also monuments on the grounds inscribed with poems by poets such as Sasa Kyuko XIII and Tokuda Chindo. The great homa consecrated fire festival the temple holds each year on July 7 is counted as one of the three greatest in the country. The festival entertainments in the inner and outer districts of Ise Jingu and intense prayer ritual praying for the enjoyment of all people are traditions which have been handed down through the ages to the modern day.
