    "This castle site park sprawls in front of Uenoshi Station on the Iga Line. Iga Ueno Castle, the park's symbol, is notable for its high stone walls built by Warring States period commander Todo Takatora. Due to the beauty of the white, three-tiered fortress, it is also known as Hakuho (""White Chinese Phoenix"") Castle. The park also has a variety of facilities brimming with history, including the Ninja Museum of Igaryu, which is filled with tricks such as secret doors and revolving walls; the Haiseiden, a building whose design was inspired by the traditional travel garments worn by famed haiku poet Matsuo Basho; and the Basho Memorial Museum. The Ninja Museum of Igaryu notably holds demonstrations of Iga-ryu ninja techniques and is a fun destination for everyone from history fans to small children. The park has also been planted with seasonal flowers and is a renowned destination for cherry blossom viewing in particular. In April when the cherries are in bloom, many people come to the park to take in their beauty."

    Located an approximately 60-minute drive from Hisai Interchange on the Ise Expressway, or alternatively, an approximately 70-minute drive from Ueno Interchange on the Meihan Expressway. From National Route 368, rows of cherry trees stand alongside the road approaching the mountain entrance of Shinpukuin Temple, an ancient temple which sits above Mitake Village. It has been sung of in Mago-uta songs for generations, and has also been chosen as one of the Japan Top 100 Sakura Viewing Sites as a place of scenic beauty. During the cherry blossom viewing season, an approximately 1. 5-kilometer road is adorned by the old 500 hill cherry trees. The Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in April, and visitors can enjoy the night-time illuminations.

    "Miyagawa Tsutsumi Park runs along the Miyagawa River, northwest of Isejingu Shrine. It was wide lawns, and is famous for the 1,000 or so Yoshino cherry trees planted along the river, creating the so-called ""1000 trees in a glimpse"" sight. The park is filled with cherry blossom viewing revelers every year from March through April, during the full-bloom season, and there are food stalls and night-time illumination to enjoy, as well. It is also a designated prefectural place of scenic beauty."

    This general park is in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture. It has a wide variety of facilities, including a stadium, multi-purpose ground, observation deck, and children's playground. It's also famous for cherry blossoms, with approximately 760 Yoshino cherry trees lining the road in full bloom during the season. Every April they host the Nabari cherry blossom festival, and the grounds are filled with cherry blossom viewing partiers.

    This famous destination for viewing cherry blossoms on the Jushigawa River is near Kintetsu Railway Tomita Station in Tomita, Yokkaichi City. Some 800 cherry trees grow along both banks of the river for approximately 1.2 kilometers. The Jushigawa River Cherry Blossom Festival is held in line with the trees blooming in spring, and during this time special events are implemented such as lighting up the trees at night.

    "This cherry tree is located on the grounds of the Koyasu Kannon-ji Temple in 3-Chome Jike, Suzuka City. ""Fudanzakura"" literally translates to ""Unceasing Cherry Tree,"" a name the tree has been known by since ancient times because it continues to bloom, albeit sparsely, throughout the year excluding midsummer. It also retains its leaves throughout the year and, according to legend, its insect-eaten leaves inspired the creation of Ise katagami stencil paper. The tree has been designated a National Natural Monument."

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
