Isuzu Seigoan, located in Futami Town, Ise City, Mie Prefecture, which is famous for Meoto Iwa (paired rocks), sells “Iwato no shio yokan,” a well-known Futami sweet. The secret of this sweet is a salt “Futami Iwato no Shio”, which is harvested by boiling water from the Futami Kouzaki coast, where fresh water and salt water mix. The “shio yokan” (salted sweet bean jelly) is made by taking carefully selected azuki beans and kneading this salt into them, giving it an exquisitely balanced taste that is salty and yet refreshingly sweet. It may be a small shop, but there is an eating space where you can enjoy a matcha tea and shio yokan set.

This veteran Japanese-style confectionery at Futaminoura Station was founded in 1913. They take pride in providing genuine manju buns, so everything's handmade. Their delicious Sakamoto Manju feature 100% Hokkaido adzuki red bean jam in buns prepared with naturally fermented rice koji starter. These treats with chewy outsides and the clean sweetness of adzuki beans are only available at their shop, providing a traditional flavor that you can only find there. Once they're sold out, that's it. Of course, they're great as snacks, but they make fine souvenirs as well.

This long-established Japanese confectionary shop was founded in 1860. It is said that it began with steamed manju that was served to shrine visitors who came by boat from Ise Bay. Their specialty is Itoin Senbei, created as a confection in tribute to the emperor's Ise Jingu Shrine visit in 1905. A senbei rice cracker made from a thinly baked batter of egg, sugar and flour, it is bake with an itoin (old Chinese seal) mark on the surface.
