    A natural history museum in Minato Town, Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture. With a focus on the sea as the source of life, visitors can learn about the history of the earth and living things through exhibits such as real meteorites and fossils. Among the exhibits tracing the evolution of ancient creatures from their birth out of the sea are lots of hands on displays including the world’s first digital globe where people can learn and have fun. The museum theater which shows short films is also popular. The full-body whale skeletal fossil in the first floor entrance was recognized as a new species in 2016.

    残念ながらコロナのため1階しか見れず、ほとんど見れませんでした。開放されたらまた行きたいです。今は行かないほうが良いかも。時間の無駄。

    A museum which displays a variety of Important Cultural Property- and Art Treasure-designated pieces, particularly works by the Edo period samurai and painter Watanabe Kazan. The museum also possesses letters, calligraphy, personal effects, and swords which he committed suicide, all designated Important Cultural Properties, and visitors can learn about the life of the samurai-artist. In the museum shop, you can purchase original merchandise and relevant books.

    田原城の城内にあり当時の雰囲気を偲ばせる石垣と堀は一見の価値があります。 三河国田原藩の武士、渡辺華山の生涯について分かりやすく展示されています。最期は少し悲しくもありますが、報民倉により大飢饉を乗り越えた功績は後世に残す価値のある偉業だった事を学ぶ事が出来ました。

    An art museum located in Toyohashi Park in Imahashi-cho, Toyohashi City. The museum's collection includes some 1,000 works of art such as paintings, calligraphy, and photographs, with a focus on local artists; historical materials connected to Yoshida Castle, Kyoto pottery, Korean and Chinese porcelain, archeological materials, and folk custom materials. In addition to its standing exhibition, the museum holds special exhibitions and, once every three years, the Triennale Toyohashi exhibition, which is open to public entry.

    A planetarium adjoining the Toyokawa City Library in Suwa 1 Chome, Toyokawa City. Focusing on the themes of the sun, the Earth, and our environment, the facility holds planetarium shows as well 360-degree recreations of the night sky, videos taken of the aurora borealis in Canada, and other programs. In an adjoining exhibit space, visitors can learn about the stars. The facility also holds events such as stargazing outings and concerts.

    いくつになってもプラネタリウムにはロマンを感じ、投影前はワクワクする。ここのプラネタリウムは大人３１０円ととにかく安い。 館内はそれほど広くなく定員ｈ１３７人。星が投影されるドームも直径約１５ｍと大きくなないが、座席からドームまでが近く感じられる。 混み具合も程ほどなのでゆっくりと観賞できます。

    A museum located in Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park in Oana Oiwa-cho, Toyohashi City. The museum's standing collection consists of some 4,200 exhibits, including 10 life-sized dinosaur models in the museum's main hall. The museum also contains a real fossil skeleton belonging to an Edmontosaurus annectens, a herbivorous dinosaur which lived in the late Cretaceous Period; exhibits covering the history of the planet and life from its birth in the Paleozoic Period to the Cenozoic Era; and a local nature exhibit which looks at the natural history of the eastern Aichi Prefecture area.
