"About five minutes on foot from the Ichirizuka bus stop, this well-preserved Meiji period kiln has inherited the Seto technique of making pottery with a white finish from highly heat-resistant clay. There is also a ""climbing kiln"" on the mountain slope, and in 2017 the pottery production area was certified as a Japanese Heritage. The studio has lots of clay vessels waiting to be fired. You can also try your hand at making one using a potter's wheel. The program takes about an hour, making it a good place to spend some quiet time with clay."

This community exhibition facility is a remodeled novelty factory that operated until the late Showa period. It gives visitors the chance to encounter the history and techniques involved with making novelties and the background of Seto's manufacturing culture through hands-on programs. This facility exhibits…They also have a variety of workshops where you can get your hands on the clay and learn while having fun."

"The Aichi Aviation Museum consists of an actual aircraft exhibition zone on the first floor and a reception area, science lab, and cafe on the second floor. The museum is accessible from the adjacent Airport Walk Nagoya, and visitors pay an admission fee to enter. Upon entering the museum, visitors will receive an ""Airplane Card,"" which explains the history of aviation in Japan. These are distributed at random, so it is difficult to collect all 100 types. However, if you renew your ""Annual Passport"", you will receive an ""Airplane Card (5 Cards) Exchange Ticket"", and you are guaranteed to get 5 cards of your choice. Note, however, that the vouchers are only given at the time of renewal."

Aichi Areas

around-area-map

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle. Castles are easy to find in this history-rich prefecture, but the highlight for history buffs has to be the Museum Meiji-mura, where preserved buildings from the turn of the 20th century are displayed in all their grandeur in an outdoor museum.
