Aichi Nagoya-shi Higashi-ku Daiko Minami 1-1-1

This domed stadium, which opened in 1997, is widely known as the home of the Chunichi Dragons. In addition to holding baseball games, it can also host a wide variety of other events such as concerts and exhibitions. It is equipped with a 106 meter-wide video screen, LED lighting, and other facilities that allow a diverse range of productions that leverage its massive scale. Other facilities include concession stands and restaurants on each level, shops that sell original merchandise, and a nursery.

What an atmosphere! Nagoyan fans are amazing, they chant all game long!!! F&B are good and with a great variety to offer.

Oasis 21 which has a direct connection to Nagoya’s business district Sakae Station is a multi-complex facility with parks, bus terminals and commercial facilities. Enjoy the seasonal flowers on the field of green where the lawn stretches out, and events are often held in the Galaxy Platform. The “Spaceship-Aqua” fills the space above the blowout space. It is a large roof of glass which floats in the air. A thin veil of water flows on the glass surface, and it is beautifully illuminated in vivid colors. A garden path surrounds the outer circumference of the glass roof, allowing people to enjoy a stroll in the air 14 meters above ground.

Went to Oasis 21 in the afternoon to do a little bit of shopping. I would recommend visitors to go in the evening because the roof looks like a spaceship! Could see Nagoya Tower from there as well.

This private art museum located within Tokugawaen in Nagoya City opened in 1935 to showcase items donated by the 19th lord of the Owari Tokugawa clan and his in-laws. The collection exceeds 10,000 items and is comprised of daimyo (feudal lord) implements passed down in the Owari Tokugawa clan such as relics related to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, articles purchased from other daimyo families, and donations from wealthy merchants. The collection includes numerous National Treasures, Important Cultural Properties, and important works of art, and is famous for items such as Genji Monogatari Emaki (The Picture Scroll of the Tale of Genji)” and Hatsune no Chodo. Displays in the permanent section allow visitors to catch a glimpse of life in the Owari clan, and exhibitions are also held in accordance with the seasons as well as different themes.

The museum also displays works by Amedeo Modigliani and Marc Chagall. The museum is located inside Shirakawa Park, where visitors can view modern sculptures by artists such as Isamu Noguchi. This is a comprehensive science museum located in Nagoya City. The building is characteristic for its unique external appearance which seems to be embracing a giant sphere. The museum is largely composed of three main buildings, the Life Science Building, which features exhibits about the human body and life on earth, the Astronomy Building, which features astronomy and the mysteries of space, and the Science and Technology Building featuring exhibits related to science and physics. The sphere is actually the Brother Earth planetarium, the world’s largest which projects a large starry sky on the dome. There are also large exhibits popular with both children and adults such as a room with a temperature of -30 degrees Celsius where visitors can experience an aurora and a corner to experience an artificial tornado.

The art museum is directly connected to Exit 1 of Shinsakaemachi Station. On display are the pieces of art collected by the late Yamazaki Teruyuki, former president of the Yamazaki Mazak Corporation. The collection focusses on French art from the 18th to 20th centuries. Along with paintings are art nouveau works by artists such as Emile Galle including glass pieces and furniture. Relax and enjoy French fine art in the exhibition halls decorated with chandeliers and other adornments giving them the feeling of classical salons.

The receptionist had peremptory manners and it made me unpleasant. Its not busy at all even at weekend.

This art museum in Nagoya City's Higashi Ward is located on the 10th floor of the Aichi Arts Center, and is the successor to the Aichi Prefectural Culture Hall and Museum of Art which opened in 1955. Primarily featuring 20th century art from Japan and abroad, the museum is home to many masterpieces including works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Ryuzaburo Umehara, and Sotaro Yasui. In particular, there is a complete collection of works leaning towards German Expressionism and Surrealism, and also postwar art of the USA. The special collection donated by Nagoya art collector Teizo Kimura has more than 3,000 works including modern Japanese-style paintings, Chinaware, and Buddhist images, and these works are displayed in the Teizo Kimura Collection Room and in some of the special exhibitions.

An entertainment hall located in Osu, Naka Ward, Nagoya City. Opened in 1965 and closed in 2014, the theater was reopened after extensive remodeling. Rakugo comedic storytelling performances are conducted here every month from the 1st to the 10th. The hall is also used for other performances such as taishu popular dramatic theater, koten classical theater, music performances, and plays. The theater can also be rented out for holding performances.

名古屋でスケート場というと、ここ大須です。昔は伊藤みどり、今では浅田真央、村上可奈子等有名人を輩出してきた有名なスケートリンクです。広い道路の交差点角のビル、上の階はマンションになっていて、階段を上っていくと入口です。行った時は子供達が楽しそうに滑っていました。子供はすぐ滑れるようになるのですね。大人は無理ですが、それなりに楽しみました。

This enormous club, with five floors above ground and one below ground, is based on the idea of being a non-genre, non-category, exciting club where anyone can freely enjoy drinking, listening to music, and dancing. One of its unique features is that a different genre of music is played on each floor. The carefully interwoven mixture of old and new tunes and the performances of the DJs provide an appealing background for men and women of all ages to dance the night away. Prices for drinks at the bar are reasonable: 500 yen per glass, whether you choose beer, a cocktail, or a soft drink. Just one word of advice: iD cafe does not serve food, so have dinner before you come.

An art museum on National Route 153 in 1 Chome, Aoi, Higashi Ward, Nagoya City. Their collection focuses on porcelain made in Nagoya during the Taisho and Meiji periods when it was often produced for export. They have a permanent exhibit with antique Noritake porcelain, Sumida ware, Makuzu ware, etc. They also hold planned exhibits, lectures, workshops, and events.

地下鉄高岳駅から徒歩5分ほど。明治・大正期に制作された輸出陶磁器の里帰り品などを中心に展示する美術館。入館料1,000円。建物はヨーロッパの宮殿を模したような外観。5階建てで1階-4階が展示室となっている。写真撮影可。訪館時は企画展「オールドノリタケ×ノリタケの世界」が開催されており、美しい絵付けが施された陶磁器が多数展示されていた。
