This is a Japanese Chisen-kaiyushiki-teien style garden (a stroke-style garden around a big pond) in Nagoya City. The garden got its start in 1695 when Tokugawa Mitsutomo, the second feudal lord of the Owari clan, moved to the “Ozone Yashiki” retirement villa, the construction of which he had personally overseen. The garden is a condensed representation of Japan’s nature with clear streams flowing down into a central pond symbolizing the ocean, arranged with hills, a peony garden and iris patch that all combine to produce a beautiful landscape. There is also the Tokugawa Art Museum and a French restaurant that looks out over the garden filled with flowers in all four seasons and which is a lovely place to appreciate the new leaves in spring and the changing colors of the leaves in autumn.

Yokiso is a representative work of a suburban vacation home close to Nagoya built on large premises of approximately 33,100 square meters that utilizes the terrain and surrounding nature. The villa was built by Ito Jirozaemon Suketami, the first president of Matsuzakaya Company, over a period spanning from the Taisho period to the Showa period, and five buildings that are designated as cultural assets and a garden remain today. Here one can sense the history of Nagoya as it was used as a reception hall and a place for social gatherings in the past. It is approximately 10 minutes on foot from Kakuozan Station on the subway’s Higashiyama Line.

The bathhouse' spring is one of only a few in the country designated a healing spring with medically therapeutic effects due to the high concentrations of sodium, calcium, chlorine, and iron ions in its waters. These waters are believed to treat such ailments as atopy. Some of the many facilities include an outdoor bath, porcelain bath, cascading shower bath, lie down bath, source spring bath, and sauna. From the observatory in the back, customers can view Tsutanofuchi Falls, called the ""Niagara Falls of Okumikawa."""

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle. Castles are easy to find in this history-rich prefecture, but the highlight for history buffs has to be the Museum Meiji-mura, where preserved buildings from the turn of the 20th century are displayed in all their grandeur in an outdoor museum.
