River Spots in Aichi Area

  • Iwakura Gojo River

    Aichi Pref. Iwakurashi Inouechou -Kawai
    This river flows from south to north down the middle of Iwakura City. There are sidewalks on the 7.6-kilometer causeway and many local people use it for jogging. Additionally, there are approximately 1400 Yoshino cherry trees lining the banks of the river, and it is one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. In April, various events such as the Iwakura Sakura Festival illuminations are held here.
  • Yamazaki River Four Seasons Road

    This road was built along Yamazaki River, Mizuho Ward, Nagoya City. It is split into three parts, named Spring Road, Summer Road and Autumn Road, each of which give visitors a sense of the four seasons with their seasonally flowering flowers and trees. It is also a famous cherry blossom-viewing spot where approximately 600 Yoshino cherry trees in the area surrounding the river.

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle.
