    This monkey zoo is one of a kind, and has 900 monkeys from over 60 different species. Monkey Valley has a unique way of exhibiting monkeys where you can see them build a bonfire in the winter. This is the only time you can see monkeys stuffing their faces with sweet potatoes they cooked in the flames. In addition, you can observe the lives of monkeys from various points of views in the park. They even go over your head in Monkey Scramble. There is also Wao Land, where you can see ring-tailed lemurs up close.

    An art museum located in Sumiyoshi-cho, Kariya City. The museum's collection includes pieces by local artists as well as artworks, original picture book drawings, and magazine illustrations from the prewar Taisho period to the postwar period and the modern day. The museum conducts a wide variety of exhibitions and also rents out training rooms and a tearoom.

    A museum located in Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park in Oana Oiwa-cho, Toyohashi City. The museum's standing collection consists of some 4,200 exhibits, including 10 life-sized dinosaur models in the museum's main hall. The museum also contains a real fossil skeleton belonging to an Edmontosaurus annectens, a herbivorous dinosaur which lived in the late Cretaceous Period; exhibits covering the history of the planet and life from its birth in the Paleozoic Period to the Cenozoic Era; and a local nature exhibit which looks at the natural history of the eastern Aichi Prefecture area.
  • Asahi Kogen Genki-Mura Astronomical Observatory Mirasse

    Mirasse Astronomical Observatory is located in Genki-Mura in the Aichi Asahi Kogen Quasi-National Park. It contains two telescopes, a computer-controlled 40-centimeter telescope and a 13-centimeter refracting telescope. The Kirameki Viewing Club holds meetings there every Saturday (and on Sundays during three-day weekends) from April to November. Since the meetings begin after sunset, the actual starting time varies. Those who want to participate must apply by 4 p.m. the same day. Individuals and groups can also rent exclusive short-term (30-minute minimum) use of the telescopes.

    A museum dedicated to energy which is operated by the Chubu Electric Power company. Situated on 13.6 hectare grounds on the south side of the Hekinan Thermal Power Station, here visitors can have fun while learning about the mechanisms behind the creation of environmentally-conscious power. In the museum building, there are exhibits on the workings of power generation and the Hekinan Thermal Power Station. There's also a Healing Garden area which was designed to serve as a space for community exchange and which contains facilities like a play pond for children, a large grass lawn for relaxing and playing on, and various gardens. In the Eco Park nature watching area, visitors can view wild birds and a variety of other wild animals.

    This facility is located in INAX Museums in Tokoname City, which is famous for its pottery. Both the inside and outside of the building are made of Tokoname clay and is characterized by the delicate and sophisticated design technics. There are exhibitions about clay, which is the raw material of pottery and house, and hands-on classrooms with reservations. They also hold hands-on workshops, including ones making clay pastels and shiny clay balls that are popular with children. These workshops involve making original balls with pottery clay, adding color, and buffing them to a shine. The museum also holds regular exhibitions enticing visitors with the wonders of soil.
  • Yatsuhashi Kakitsubata Garden

    Eight minutes on foot from Meitetsu Mikawa-Yatsuhashi Station, this famous spot for Japanese irises is in a strolling garden on the precincts of Muryojuji Temple in Chiryu City. The floral scenery has been immortalized in a famous poem from the Heian period by Ariwara no Narihira. A stone monument featuring the poem and a statue of the poet are on the grounds. The Shiseki Yatsuhashi Kakitsubata Festival is held annually in late April and mid-May when the flowers are in full bloom.

    This museum displays a collection of jazz-related items. The various items on display come from a massive collection of records, open reel tapes, magazines, audio equipment, and other items donated to Okazaki City in 1993 by the late surgeon Osamu Uchida, who was born in Okazaki City and who supported jazz musicians for many years. Here you can see jazz-related flyers, letters, photos, and a diverse array of other items, and jazz fans from across the country make their way here.

    今年も天気が良いので出かけてきました。昨年はとても空いていた駐車場も少し混みあっていました。園内には幼稚園の子供たちで意外と混み合っていました。11時頃になると園内はとても人が少なくなったので、写真を撮って花しょうぶ園を楽しんできました。今年は花しょうぶが園内全体に咲きそろって、早めに咲いたアジサイの花と相まってとても綺麗な園内が峰ました。

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle.
