This large outdoor theme park based on the popular children’s toy of Lego(R) opened in April of 2017. The park is divided up into seven areas including attractions and roller coasters where visitors can have adventures in a mysterious world, an area that recreates Japan’s famous places in Lego(R), and an area where guests can play freely with Lego(R) blocks. At the largest Lego(R) shop in Asia, they also sell products that are limited to the park. From small children to adults, this is a popular spot that the entire family can enjoy together. The closest station is Kinjo-futo Station.

Very fun theme park There is a driving school where you can drive small cars on the path and it has sea life and the park also has a toilet in the park.

The Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens are located within Higashiyama Park in Nagoya City, and are divided up into three zones comprised of a zoo, botanical gardens, and an amusement park. The zoo is home to approximately 500 types of animals ranging from popular creatures such as elephants, giraffes and koalas to killifish. Complete with a corner to enjoy feeding and petting of animals, the zoo attracted attention in 2015 for its very handsome gorilla, Shabani, who was said to be “too ikemen” (a colloquial phrase for “hot guy”). The botanical gardens which display approximately 7,000 types of plants allows visitors to come in contact with nature in the large greenhouse and around the gentle walking course. The amusement park is popular among families with many attractions costing between 100 and 300 yen.

Wow! Such an incredible zoo. So many things to see it takes all day. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to charge more for the tickets. Costs only 500 Yen --should be 3 or 4 times...

An outdoor folk museum which presents the folk culture of peoples from countries around the world. Buildings from around the globe stand on the park’s grounds. Here you can enjoy cuisine from areas throughout Japan and the world, buy souvenirs, and try on folk costumes. There are also restaurants and a cafés with terrace seating. The World Bazzar Café has a kids’ space, making it easy for the whole family to enjoy the flavors of the world. Shops selling souvenirs from across the globe are colored by the culture of the countries they represent, and here you’ll find an abundant selection of goods, including German sausages and French cheeses and sweets.

Far from city and not convenience with public transportation. All buildings are imitated from book or internet, thus it is a bit far from real. However, it is a good place to have relax time with...

An amusement park and adjoining zoo. The amusement park features over 30 rides, including ones for small children. Seasonal events are held here and in summer the Paradise of Water Monpuru pool and waterpark is open to visitors. On weekdays only, visitors can take commemorative photos with park mascots. The park’s restaurants serve giant deep-fried shrimp, a Nagoya specialty, as well as an abundant menu of other items. A gate in the park leads to the adjoining zoo where you can see monkeys from around the world. Note that a separate entry fee is required for the zoo.

This review is mainly for the expat community. The Monkey Park is an excellent day trip if you have small children. Years back, the park had a few rides more suitable for older children but sadly...

Similar to the country of Denmark, an advanced farming nation, the city of Anjo has come to serve as a model for farming across Japan. Accordingly, the city has gained the nickname, the “Denmark of Japan.” Denpark, a park filled with flowers and green plants, also boasts a variety of facilities, such as restaurants, shops, and play equipment. Here you can view and enjoy seasonal plants. Events based around various plants’ blooming seasons are also held here. In the park’s microbrew studio, you can sip Anjo City’s Den Beer. The Marchen trolley circles the park’s spacious grounds, making it easy to enjoy all the park has to offer, even for families with small children.

This is a great place to spend a day with kids. Firstly, the car park is free which is almost unheard of in Japan. The park entrance fee is very cheap. There is a train that goes round the park that...

Each ride costs a fee, but the park also sells an all-access ride pass. Attractions include a massive Ferris wheel and children-oriented family coaster.

Aichi Areas

around-area-map

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle. Castles are easy to find in this history-rich prefecture, but the highlight for history buffs has to be the Museum Meiji-mura, where preserved buildings from the turn of the 20th century are displayed in all their grandeur in an outdoor museum.
