    This park is built around the National Historic Site-designated Shijimizuka Archaeological Site. The park grounds encompass recreations of the kind of Jomon period homes which once stood here in ancient times; and the Takayama Family Residence, an Edo period home. The Shijimizuka Archaeological Site, which makes up the core of the park, is the site of a village which existed from the late to the end of the Jomon period (approximately 4,000 years ago to 3,000 years ago). The locations of homes, graves, and shell mounds have been discovered in the area, primarily in what is now maintained as an open field in the park. One of the shell mounds is preserved in the same state as when human bones were discovered in it, and visitors can see the mound's accumulated seashells and other relics beyond a glass window. The lush park is also widely used by local residents as a space for rest and relaxation.

The area's 120-meter-long lazy river, and its waterslide pool with two different waterslides which plunge sliders into the pool water, are particularly popular with children. There's also a kiddy pool whose depth ranges from 30 to 70 centimeters, ensuring even families with small children can safely have fun here.

    カインズモールに買い物に行き、帰りに寄ってきました。カインズモールから公園に行く大きなほくと橋がかかっていて散歩にとても便利です。ちょうどツツジの花が咲く季節なので天気が良いには最適な公園です。とても広い公園なので、コロナの自粛の影響で比較的訪れる方が多いのですが、人び近づくとこがなく散歩できました。公園の中には吊り橋もあってとても変化のある公園です。

Plants from the ""Man'yoshu"" are grown all across the park, and visitors can come in contact with the seasonal culture that is highly emphasized in the poems of the anthology. In the park's Kibe no Kobo studio, you can try activities such as ""Man'yoshu"" era kusaki-zome plant extract fabric dyeing, and pressing vibrantly colored flowers."

    This public park is a 10-minute drive from the Hamamatsu-Hamakita Interchange on the Shin-Tomei Expressway. From the top of the park's small mountain, visitors can get a sweeping view of the Tenryu River and the Enshu Plain. The park is located on the site of Tobayama Castle, the place where the mighty Tokugawa Ieyasu set up his headquarters when attacking Futamata Castle in 1575. Archeological excavations have discovered numerous ruins, including the castle's kuruwa walls, earthen base, and moat. In spring, the park's approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees explode with flowers, and the grounds are accordingly a renowned cherry blossom viewing destination. Park facilities include a large, open grass lawn; and an observatory offering a sweeping view of the local scenery; there's also a fun giant roller slide, and the park bustles with families with their children throughout the year.

    別名風車公園。 中島田砂丘を訪れた際に駐車場として利用しました。 駐車場のすぐ奥に風車があって、思わず周囲を散策してしまいました。 凧揚げをしている人がいましたが、このあたりの名物のようです。
