    Kakegawa Ninomaru Museum is just a one-minute walk from the Kitamon bus stop and a 10-minute drive from the Kakegawa Interchange. It is an art museum located in Kakegawa Castle Park, and its prime exhibits are the Kinoshita Collection of craft items, especially those related to smoking, and the Suzuki Collection of late 19th century and early 20th century paintings in the Japanese style. Many works of local artists are displayed and stored here. Every effort has been made to allow visitors to enjoy the exhibits to the greatest extent possible. The Japanese-style paintings are displayed with consideration given to the proper order, and the craft items can be viewed with magnifying glasses or double mirrors, allowing visitors can see the details. The museum also holds a variety of special exhibitions.

    "The museum is located in Nemunoki Village, just a 15-minute drive from the Mori Kakegawa IC and 20 minutes from the Kakegawa IC, and consists of two buildings, ""Donguri"" and ""Midori-naka"" located 700 meters apart. The ""Donguri"" building houses about 120 paintings by students of Nemunoki Gakuen, a children's home, while the ""Midori-no-Naka"" building houses a collection of works by Mariko Miyagi, the former director of the school and a former actress and film director."

    "The complex is located in front of Shin-Kanaya Station on Oigawa Railway. There is a sales desk for steam locomotive rapid tickets, and shops, as well as a steam locomotive museum. The museum, in the back of the building, provides a nostalgic space by recreating the train station from the 1950s and 60s. Old steam locomotives and passenger cabins are on display, as well as many items that will tug on your heartstrings, such as the telephone booth, and the advertising mirror which is the only one left in the world. Sold in the shops, the ""SL Kuro Curry"", which uses squid ink as a base to represent coal, and the SL caps, which are engraved with steam locomotive license plates, are perfect as souvenirs."

    静かな山あいに佇むミュージアムはシルクロードと違って歴史のありそうな和風の建物で一見シルクロードを連想できませんが門の前にラクダの置物があって少しシルクロードかなと思えるくらいです。展示物はたぶん個人で買い集めたものが展示されているのだと思いました。入場料は少し高いかなと思いました。
