    Located near the site of Sumpu Castle, this park in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City is currently well-known for its flowers. The park features a tea house, a grass square, and the Momijiyama Garden, notable for the autumn foliage of its trees. The park's Chinshoen garden features a statue of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu in his later years, as well as a mandarin orange tree said to have been planted by Ieyasu himself. Visitors to the park can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring, red spider lily in the fall, and winter sweet and flowering plums in the winter.

    A promenade and event space in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City. This seaside public park is the site of the Shimizu Telpher, a mechanical harbor cargo loading and unloading machine which has been designated a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, as well as an event space surrounded by walkways in the style of a western European castle, a boardwalk, and a yacht harbor. It is a bustling location when outdoor events or flea markets are being held.
  • Tokiwa Park

    This park is located at the terminus of Aoba Symbol Road, in the center of the city area of Shizuoka City. The park is divided into four zones: water, light, green, and music. Each of them has a carillon tower, a music fountain, a square, a playground, and more. Fountain shows are held every hour, in which water shoots out of the fountains together with the melody of the carillon played as a chime show. At night, the fountain is illuminated, so you can enjoy a fantastical scene where the fountain changes over time with the lighting.

    Located close to the University of Shizuoka, this park is distinguished by its gourd-shaped handrails. Inside the park, there is general playground equipment such as swings and slides, as well as training and health equipment too. Since the park has a keyhole-shaped kofun (estimated to be from the early sixth century) of the wealthy family that ruled the Shimizu Plains during the late Kofun period, you'll see many students there doing research. There are many benches and multipurpose bathrooms, and local residents enjoy this park as a place of rest.

    "Honjin Park located in the center of Yui. Many buildings maintaining an image of the Edo period are spotted along the road of Yui-shuku, the 16th post town counting from Nihonbashi. It is said that, at the time, there was the honjin where daimyo lodged, a waki-honjin building, and 30 hatagoya (inns), indicating that the place was quite lively. The atmosphere of the time remains in the front gate and stone walls, as well as the wooden fence and horse drinking area. Located inside the park, the ""Tokaido Yui-Shuku Koryukan"" hall is used for a wide variety of purposes, including learning about history, distributing tourist information, and connecting with the region."
