    Kanagawa Pref. Ashigarashimogunhakonemachi Hakone 638
With superb views of both Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashinoko, this popular parkway runs atop the border between Kanagawa and Shizuoka prefectures. Famously, a portion of the road surface is grated, called a 'melodyvape,' so you can hear it play a famous melody as you drive upon it. This curvy parkway with many ups and downs is a favorite with cyclist and drivers wanting to enjoy the feel of the road.

Beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Saw a row of Ferrari cars owner also up there enjoying the scenery. No tour buses up there so air still fresh and not many people.

    Shizuoka Pref. Tagatagunkannamichou Kuwahara
This skyline is an automobile-only sightseeing road that runs through the mountain ridges in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park on the eastern side of Izu Peninsula. The approximately 40-kilometer-long road offers incredible views of Sagami Bay, Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji. There are also eight observatories along the road, as well as natural parks such as Takichiyamaenchi, Shikagatani Park and Mt. Sukumoyama. Izu Skyline has been listed as one of 100 Night Views of Japan and also as a, where visitors can enjoy a magical view of the landscape that is completely different to its daytime appearance.

Shizuoka Areas

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
