    Shizuoka Kamo-gun・Shimoda-shi
This seaside promenade runs past several beaches between the Kyukamura bus stop and the Kisami bus stop. Hikers can enjoy the surrounding scenery during the two hours and 40 minutes or so that it takes to complete the course. One of its biggest highlights is Cape Tarai, which boasts views of Yumigahama Beach and Benzaiten Cape to the west and a view of the Izu-shichito (Izu Seven Islands) as well as the beautiful coastline from Okunijima to Sagami Bay to the east. Points of interest along the route include Okunijima, where numerous artifacts have been excavated, as well as Mikazuki Sea Cave.

    弓ヶ浜から砂浜を歩いたり山を歩いたりを繰り返していく岬の先端です。11月のこの時期は誰とも会わずに到着です。よく整備されていて案内板も充実しています。 盥という漢字がタライとは初めて知りました。

Shimo Prefecture Kamo-gun Minamiizu Town Performance 1600
This company offers entertaining guided tours that start at Yumigahama Beach and Onohama Beach, trace the old roads along the banks of the tranquil Aono River past local settlements, and ends in the forest village. Long ago, Izuishi (pyroxene andesite) mined in Minami-Izu was carried on rafts and canoes down the Aono River to Yumigahama Beach from where changed to ship and reached Edo. The company offers three enjoyable tours worthy of an episode and geographic that leverage this historical fact.

    Shizuoka Kamo-gun Nishiizucho Futo
This roughly 3.2 kilometer-long promenade that connects the Futo Coast to the Tagosehama Coast is located a short distance from either the Tago Iriguchi bus stop or the Tago bus stop. As the walkway faces the sea, its biggest attraction is the amazing views which you can enjoy from the coastline, such as Suruga Bay andSanshiro Island, and beyond that its seaside location offers. Fields of seasonal flowers such as camellias and hydrangeas bloom profusely along the promenade, creating some of the most picturesque scenery in Nishiizu. The scenery is constantly changing, assuring that you never get tired of seeing it. The views from the observation deck are also magnificent.

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
