"Located about 1 minute by car from the Izu Nagaoka IC on the Izu Chuo Highway and about 7 minutes by ropeway from Izu-no-kuni Panorama Park, this ""Japanese space"" themed terrace at the top of Katsuragi Mountain has an observation deck, sofa area and stone floor area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. There is also a modern Japanese-style cafe, Katsuragi Saryo, and a coffee shop, Katsuragi Coffee."

We spent more than an hour up in the Park, covering some of the trails which offered good view of Mt. Fuji and cities down hill. A pleasant and easy walk with some good photo spots.

Its official name is ""Nihondaira Digital Broadcasting Station."" The tower is a multi-station broadcasting tower responsible for broadcasting TV signals in Shizuoka Prefecture; it serves as the primary television broadcasting station for Shizuoka. With superb views of both Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashinoko, this popular parkway runs atop the border between Kanagawa and Shizuoka prefectures. Famously, a portion of the road surface is grated, called a 'melodyvape,' so you can hear it play a famous melody as you drive upon it. This curvy parkway with many ups and downs is a favorite with cyclist and drivers wanting to enjoy the feel of the road.

Beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Saw a row of Ferrari cars owner also up there enjoying the scenery. No tour buses up there so air still fresh and not many people.

This home and garden is about a three-minute walk from both the Nishibancho bus stop and the Shinyokosuka bus stop or about a 20-minute drive from Kakegawa Interchange. It is located on the left heading east from Yokosuka Castle Ruin Park via Prefectural Route 41 and Prefectural Route 69. The home was built as the residence of the Shimizu family, which made its fortune as Kaisen donya shipping agents during the Edo period. The family even served as purveyors for the region's feudal lords. The home's kaiyu-shiki garden is believed to have been completed during the mid Edo period. The beauty of the extremely clear spring water in the garden's central pond earned it a spot on the list of Shizuoka Prefecture's 100 best waterfronts in 2001.

A tourist attraction in Shizuoka Prefecture’s Ito City located at Jogasaki Coast which is famous for its precipitous cliffs, this suspension bridge hangs over the ocean at a height of 23 meters with a length of 48 meters. Known as a place where many suspenseful dramas have been filmed, the bridge is the most popular part of the Jogasaki Picnical Course walking path. The bridge’s strong construction notwithstanding, viewing the rough, whitewater of the pounding waves right below one’s eyes from the bridge makes for a thrilling experience. Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
