Shizuoka Pref. Hamamatsushi Chuo-ku Kanzanjichou 1891
A gondola in Kanzanji-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture that connects Kanzanji Station near Hamanako Palpal Theme Park with Okusayama Station near the Hamanako Orgel Museum. It's famous for being Japan's first gondola to cross over lake water and while crossing you get a beautiful 360-degree view of Lake Hamanako.

It looks great in pictures but its a very short ropeway and view is not that spectacular. There really is nothing to see on top besides the Music Box Museum which is really small.

    Shizuoka Pref. Atamishi Wadahamaminamichou 8-15
A 273-meter cable-car in Atami City which connects Korakuen Station located at the foot of the mountain with the Hachimanyama Station located at the top of the mountain. The gondolas are entirely glass sided allowing you to look over the city of Atami, and on clear days the Izu peninsula and all the way across to the Boso Mountains. In the evening you can see the beauty of Atami's night skyline.

Nihondaira in Shimizu, to Kunouzan Station in Suruga on the slope of Mt. Kunou. The journey is about five minutes. Enjoy the view of Suruga Bay while taking this stroll through mid-air. There are two cars in service, the jet-black feudal lord themed Aoi-go, and the golden Tachibana-go with a princess theme.

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
