    Shizuoka Shizuoka-shi Aoi-ku Ikawa 964
"This Ikawa information distribution center is in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City. The church-like appearance of the building is its clear characteristic. You can not only obtain tourist information for the Ikawa region, but also learn about the Southern Alps through dioramas and photographs. They also sell miscellaneous goods and ingredients made by the local people of Ikawa-perfect as a souvenir. At ""Kureyon Cafe"", a restaurant in the facility, you can enjoy cuisine made using deer meat and ingredients collected in Ikawa. The observatory deck on the second floor has a spot called the ""Negai no kane"". If you make a wish to the twin fir trees opposite the observatory deck and ring the bell, your wish will come true."

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
