    This is a beach lined with palm trees, and has a resort-like atmosphere with gentle wave breaking ashore. The sandy beach is illuminated at night and gets transformed into a fantastic moonlight beach. This is Japan’s first sandy beach illumination, which is produced by the world’s famous lighting designer, Motoko Ishii. The beach is authorized in “sacred place for lovers” and at the fountain at the tip of the terrace, there is a monument where lovers can pledge their love to each other.

    This is the dirtiest beach in Japan. Trash in the water and on the beach. I saw a used condom on the shore. And the view is of a couple of breakwaters. The surrounding park is ok, and I think it gets...

    Toi Beach, featuring an arc of sand beaches, is a popular spot, particularly for families, because of the wide, shallow beach and the gentle waves. During the open season, six Toi Hot Spring Maru vessels, which are fishing ships are converted into baths, are provided to serve as hot springs, so you can enjoy warming your body in a Toi hot spring. Lifeguards are also on watch during this season.

    7/31に行ってきました。日曜日だったので、午後から駐車場1,200円を払いました。土肥海水浴場は公営駐車場が隣接されています。ビーチは人も少なく静かです。海水は茶色でとても汚く、燃えカスや不純物が漂ってました。白いタオルが茶色になってしまう汚さです。もう二度と行きません。翌日は車で30分の松崎海水浴場に行きました。海水が透き通っています。

    The spacious and open Usami Beach has a wide and shallow sand beach stretching 1.5 kilometers, located just next to the parking lot, so it is quite popular. The sea opening is from mid July to late August, with sea guards on constant watch during this period. You can enjoy surfing in the mornings and evenings too.

    伊東温泉泊まり、伊豆スカイラインを通り、東京に帰る途中に海岸線から山道を通る山道沿いにミカン園があり、ミカンが売っていた。美味しいかった。モットかえよかった

Popular with divers as well as beachgoers, the coast is lined with diving shops, making it a destination for divers all year long.

    浜辺は弓なりになった大瀬崎の半島に囲まれているような形をしていました。昼過ぎに大瀬崎神社や神池を訪問しましたが、その手前の海水浴場エリアでは大勢のスキューバーダイバー達が船から上がってきた所でした。水が綺麗なのでたくさんお魚がいるのだと思います。夏に来たら泳ぎたい場所だと思いました。

    With beautiful sand beaches extending out spaciously into gentle waves, Mihama Beach is a beach actively enjoyed by many people, where ocean goods float up on the sea surface. Sea opening is from mid July to the end of August, and during that time, sea guards are constantly on watch. It is a convenient beach with beach houses and restrooms available.

    土肥から戸田港の手前、いさばホテル先を左折すると、岸壁の駐車場に到達する。ここから御浜公園を通過して、灯台の先までの、戸田港の砂浜・御浜海水浴場です。今回、諸口神社から、散歩道の先が、海水浴場の西端部分で、ここでも海水浴は可能です。公園の駐車場から、かなり歩くと思いますが、水遊びや散策にいいと思いますよ。

Be aware that there are no shower facilities or toilets at the beach.

The beach is a Mecca for surfers and wind surfers and gets crowded with young people. “Shirahama Central Beach” is on the northern side of the Shirahama Ohama Beach and besides its sandy beach, it has a rocky area where you can gather shellfish on the seashore. The waves are calm in the cove section and there are also many people bathing with their families. “Itado Coast” is a district which imparts a sense of a quiet and relaxing fishing village which has remained unchanged. There are numerous ways you can enjoy this place such as snorkeling and fishing.

Equipment such as parasols and beach beds are available for rental with a small fee from the beachside clubhouse.

    Roughly 800 meters long, this swimming beach in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture is one of the largest in the Izu area. There are no clubhouses or rental shops on the beach itself, but rental shops, restaurants, and convenience stores can be found along the national highway right next to the beach. Note: The surfing area is restricted during swimming season.

    This beach is located 10 minutes south by car from Shimoda Station, Shizuoka Prefecture—it has a neat environment and is a popular beach for surfers and groups. As of course there are beach huts, and the area is also dotted with stylish cafes and restaurants, it has an atmosphere similar to a beach abroad. Every September, the “Big Shower” festival is held which is the prefecture’s largest marine bath festival.

    Approximately a 15-minute walk from the Sagara Eigyosho bus stop and a 20-minute drive from the Sagara-Makinohara Interchange off of the Tomei Expressway, this beach is located just south of the Sagara Seaside Park. Here, there is a wonderfully appealing view of Mt. Fuji and the mountain ranges of Izu. The beach swim season is from July 1st through August 31st, during which period ocean-side shops and clubhouses are set up. The gentle waves are just right for children, making this beach an enjoyable spot for families. The beach is divided into a swimming area and a surfing area where one can enjoy marine sports such as body boarding. The waters here are so clean; one may get a glimpse of a sea turtle around.

The boat-shaped D'Azur Iwachi hot spring bath in the middle of the beach is free to use, and you can get right in while still wearing your bathing suit. Public toilets and pay showers available.

Popular with everyone from families to groups of young people, each year the beach bustles with great numbers of beach goers. There is also a rocky area perfect for gathering shellfish.

    A swimming beach located in Toji, Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture where visitors can enjoy a shallow, clear sea and geographically diverse, scenic coastline. A beach frequented by local families, it remains less crowded even during beach season. There is also a rocky area where shellfish can be gathered and even families with small children can come here to enjoy all the delights of a summer beach. A sand skiing hill and Ryugu Cave, famous for its natural skylight, are also located nearby. There are bed and breakfasts not far away, but the beach itself has no clubhouses or showers.
