- This museum which displays modern glass works and kaleidoscopes gathered from around the world is located in the Ugusu district of Shizuoka Prefecture’s Kamo County, Nishiizu Town, a production area for silica, the raw material in glass. In addition to their regular exhibits, they also hold original exhibitions based on the theme of glass. In their experience workshop, visitors can enjoy making unique glass products such as sand-blasted items and stained glass. There is also a shop where guests can purchase glass products such as Nishi Izu’s Kamo Furin handmade wind chimes and works by local artists.

7/31に行ってきました。日曜日だったので、午後から駐車場1,200円を払いました。土肥海水浴場は公営駐車場が隣接されています。ビーチは人も少なく静かです。海水は茶色でとても汚く、燃えカスや不純物が漂ってました。白いタオルが茶色になってしまう汚さです。もう二度と行きません。翌日は車で３０分の松崎海水浴場に行きました。海水が透き通っています。

いつの間にかできていました。数件のお土産店と、ビュッフェ、カフェがあります。とても綺麗で、朝霧高原観光者にとっては嬉しい場所です。お芋やさんの大学芋が美味しかったです！

今回はJR磐田駅から無料シャトルバスを利用して行きました。休日だったので公園内は大勢の行楽客が訪れていました。まず竜洋富士の頂上まで登り太平洋や天竜川河口の眺めを楽しみました。下りはローラースライダーでと思いましたが利用者が多く階段を下りました。しおさい竜洋まで歩いて行きました。途中掛塚湊の碑を見てきました。広い園内を一周するのも良い問もいます。

The museum houses about 270 exhibits all of which are national treasures, including about 120 ivory carvings from China, a jade sculpture, folding screens studded with jewels, and art works from Asia. Another must-see in the museum is the world’s largest natural folding screen inlaid with more than 1,500 precious stones. There is also an area where visitors can have a go at making their own bracelets and gel candles.

伊東から中伊豆方面に行く途中、女房殿の希望で、当該館に入館する。２度目ですが、象牙、石の彫刻物、素晴らしいです。案内の方がおり、簡単に説明をうける。詳細は、すでにUPしているので書かないが、どれも感動ものです。写真撮影はOKなので、今回、沢山撮りました。お土産は、虎目石のブレスレットを購入する。。

５月で駐車場に鯉のぼりや武者幟がはためいていました。公園や食事処もあるようでしたが、今回はツアーの休憩立ち寄りで土産物屋を利用。定番のソフトクリームをいただきました。源頼朝が行った「富士の巻狩り史跡」という立派な石碑が目を引きました。

プレミアムサイト利用。 メリットは、富士山一望。場所取りしなくてすむ。電源つき。水道も個別。屋根があるデッキがついてる。椅子四脚とテーブルがついてる。トイレも近い。 デメリットは、チェックアウトがはやく１０時なので少しバタバタする。 トイレは、女子トイレのみウォシュレットがついてるそうです。男子は冷たくなかったです。
