    A shopping mall adjacent to the outbound Hirugano Kogen Rest Area. Consisting of a series of Scandinavian-style buildings, here you can find restaurants, boutiques, and souvenir shops. You can eat ramen, set meals, and Hamburg steaks made with Hida beef and other local ingredients as well as crepes and pizza from mobile stands. You can also buy souvenirs such as Hirugano Highland milk, Gujo miso, frozen Takasu keichan chicken stir fry, and other local specialty products. Note that facility hours differ in the summer and winter and regular closing days differ from establishment to establishment.

    Gujo Hachiman Beer Kobokobo is an artisan beer brewery made with the famous local water. Its sales outlet is located inside ofGenrinMachiyaBuilding, a traditional machiya house, built more than 80 years ago, that once housed an apothecary. Because of a microbrewery, the amounts available at any one time are limited, but many varieties are available, including pale ale and cream ale. The smallgarden of the house functions as a food court, where customers can buy food at the counters and sit wherever they like to enjoy their beer. The machiyaBuilding also houses Spain Bar and other businesses, and customers may buy the food to accompany their beer at one of these other places.

    郡上八幡クラフトビールを飲むことができます。定休日は水曜日で、24:00まであいています。美味しかったです。

    "A long-established store that has done traditional Japanese indigo dyeing since its founding in 1580. To this day they make noren shop curtains, wrapping cloths, pouches, carp streamers, and more using traditional all-natural indigo dyeing techniques. The 14th owner, Hishiya Yasuhei, is a Living National Treasure and his skills have been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Asset by Gifu Prefecture. Incorporating contemporary elements with traditional techniques, Gujo dyeing has become known throughout Japan and abroad. The 15th owner has inherited the store and the tradition. Their ""Japan Blue,"" which fades from dark blue as it ages, has gained fans worldwide."

    Located approximately 15 minutes from the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway’s Seki Interchange, this direct sales store directly sells extremely fresh agricultural products centered on local vegetables and farm produce with the motto of fresh, safe and secure on a large farm spread over 60,000 tsubo (unit of land measure of about 3.3 square meters). In addition to vegetables, you can buy locally-made baked goods and prepared dishes, and there is also a plaza where you can interact with animals. Depending on the season, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat strawberry and blueberry-picking for 30 minutes and barbecues. In the barbecue set, vegetables and yakisoba are also included besides meat, so you can easily barbecue even if you come empty-handed.

Made from eggs, flour, and sugar, they have a crisp texture with a light flavor reminiscent of sponge cake. They're highly popular and make great gifts as well as the perfect Seki souvenir. They're available in boxes ranging from eight to 58 wafers, but you can get them individually wrapped too.

    A shop specializing in woodwork at Roadside Station Seiryu no Sato Shirotori. Since ancient times, Shiratori Town has been known for producing high-quality cedar and hinoki cypress. The shop is run by the Gujo Forestry Cooperative that manages the local forests with the environment in mind. Their many inviting wooden items include a table made of a single slab of 200-plus year old horse chestnut, and a round display shelf ideal for modern interiors. It's fun just looking at the items they have on display. Their laser-carved name plates are also popular.

    A confectionery shop central Gujo Hachiman, opposite the Former Gujo Hachiman Government Building Memorial Hall, a popular sightseeing spot. Founded while the government office was still in use, the current owner brings a background in Western sweets to their products. They sell a variety of original sweets made with Gujo ingredients, including cinnamon flavored soft rice cakes and baked manju buns with crusts made with condensed cream. Their summertime Seiryu-no-Shizuku gelatin treats are like drops of a fresh, clear spring. They even look refreshing and make great gifts.

    The only store dealing in Gujo pongee fabric, a luxurious handwoven silk cloth is made with plant dyes to produce a luster and simple colors. It is woven with top-grade, carefully selected domestic spring cocoons. The more you wear it, the more lustrous it gets, and it can even be worn for three generations. Munehiro Rikizo, who was born in Hachiman-cho, revived the tradition of pongee woven by Gujo farmers for personal use. He employed an innovative technique to create today's Gujo pongee. He's been nationally certified an Important Intangible Cultural Property Technology Holder, a first for an individual dealing with pongee. The store's first floor sells kimono accessories and indigo dyed merchandise, and the second floor displays works by Munehiro Rikizo.

    A three-minute walk from Miyagase Bridge, this is the oldest liquor store on Gujo Hachiman's waterfront area. The shop's Hida-style architecture gives a feel of its history. They offer a host of local sakes, rare hizoshu varieties, and more. Their daiginjo drip fresh sake is bottled from the droplets falling from a hanging bag is renowned nationwide. They only make 100 bottles of this precious hijzooshu sake annually. A wooden water trough in front of the store was made in Gujo 400 years ago. It's filled with spring water flowing from a limestone cave system. The slightly hard water is ideal for brewing sake, miso, and soy sauce. A machine provides empty plastic bottles so you can take some water with you.

    This takeout shop in the Fraicheur factory is a 10-minute walk from Nagaragawa Tetsudo's Etsumi-Nansen Line. They sell an innovative line of sweets combining time-honored Japanese ingredients like white rice, brown rice, and koji (malted rice) with ingredients found in Western confections like butter, wheat, cheese, and cream. Great souvenirs include their Seki Pudding made with pasteurized Seki milk and fertilized local eggs, as well as Hamomin Cakes made to resemble Seki City's mascot. Their Minov Roll Cakes, Rice Baumkuchen, and Crispy Cream Puffs are all popular.

    This special Gujo miso specialty shop with a charming sign, Gujo indigo-dyed shop curtain and red-fruited nandina balls as its landmark is located a five-minute drive from the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway Gujo-Hachiman Interchange. Their special miso bean paste, made with a time-honored method, uses natural water that springs from underneath the shop and select Japanese soybeans. It has the sweetness and aroma unique to Japanese soybeans, and has a mellow taste even though it is thoroughly salty. Large soybean grains remain in the miso, and it is characteristically soft. You can even eat samples at the front of the store. In addition, they also offer their own original brown sauce and unpasteurized soy sauce.

They use Chinese cinnamon and high-quality sugar to make their cinnamon candies and black cinnamon candies, Gujo-Hachiman local favorites. They’re still crafted by hand today, using the full range of their artisan’s skills. While they’re of course great eaten as is, taking a sip of coffee while one’s in your mouth is a real treat. They also sell such splendid Gujo sweets as Turkish delight mochi and monaka wafer cakes. Their samples make it easy to find your favorite.

    This Japanese sweets shop opened in 1993 and is located in Kawabe Town, Kamo County, Gifu Prefecture. Including the fruits daifuku (red bean paste-filled mochi), stuffed with homemade bean paste and cream using red beans Miyabi from Hokkaido’s Tokachi region and select fruit, they develop products such as “Marugoto Kyoho no Daifuku” and “Kuri Kinton Daifuku” every season. Their year-round product “Tappuri Cream no Nama-dorayaki” has various flavors from milk bean paste to cheese, and a milk chocolate one with chocolate mixed into the batter.

The shop carries a variety of stylish and cute paper lantern lights made by hand using Japanese washi paper, and the shop’s wide selection includes everything from ceiling lights to table lamps. In addition to old-fashioned, Japanese-style lights, the shop also offers chandelier-style lights, blue lights inspired by the ocean, and more, ensuring customers can find lights suitable not just for a Japanese-style room but Western-style rooms, halls, and all manner of interior areas. Delicate and beautiful Japanese washi paper lights also make great souvenirs and gifts to give back home for international travelers. The shop is only regularly closed during the New Year’s holidays, although the shop might also close occasionally as necessary.

    This branch of Enagawa Kamiya manufactures and sells mainly sweets with chestnuts. It has developed a number of original products such as “kuri-kanze” and chestnut ice pudding. They also hold events and sweets-making workshops. The chairs shaped like kuri-kinton (candied chestnuts ) inside the store have become its symbol, and it is a popular photo spot. You can eat Japanese-style pancakes and Sakuya Pudding in the adjoining cafe. It is known for changing most of its menu items each season, and it sells a limited number of the Mont Blanc cake “Kuri Hitosuji” using a lot of chestnuts in the autumn. You can enjoy “cotton snow ice” shaved ice there in the summertime.
