  • Ena Gorge

    Gifu Pref. Enashi Oichou Enakyo
    This place developed as a result of the dam constructed during the Taisho period, becoming a beautifully verdant prefectural park, and then named Ena Gorge in 1920. A walkway has been created on the peninsula jutting out into the gorge, and there is also a tour boat, allowing you to enjoy different views. Approximately 15 minutes by car from JR Ena Station.
  • Yahagi Dam

    This dam straddles the border between Shizurase-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture and Kushihara, Ena City, Gifu Prefecture. The parabolic concrete arch dam is positioned in the upper reaches of the Yahagi River. Visitors can tour the control room, the tunnels below the dam body, and other areas (reservation required). The dam also holds dam discharge viewing events several times per year. It is also possible to enjoy the rich natural scenery of the area surrounding the dam and Lake Okuyahagi, its dam lake, including cherry blossoms and fall foliage.
  • Tsukechi Gorge

    Tsukechi Gorge is a marvelous natural environment in which to relax and unwind. It has been ranked as one of the best 33 places to view autumn foliage in the Hida and Mino region. The sparkling Tsukechi River and the coloration of the leaves on the trees are so beautiful that they almost take your breath away. The footpath in Fudo Park is ideal for taking a refreshing walk in the woods. In the spring, visitors can see flowers such as rhododendron and azalea; in the summer, they can enjoy camping or fishing.
  • Sosui Gorge

    The gorge is located downstream from the Maruyama Dam in the southern part of Gifu Prefecture and is a scenic beauty spot. The 10.5-km-long Sosuikyo Hiking Trail is located in the surrounding area, and visitors can take a stroll while admiring the emerald green waters of the lake.
  • Koko Valley

    Gifu Tajimi Suwacho Ichinokuracho
    The valley along the Toki River, which flows near the border between Gifu and Aichi Prefectures, is dotted with strange stones and oddly shaped rocks along the meandering course of the gently flowing Toki River. The Toki River changes its name to the Shonai River when it enters Aichi Prefecture, making it a first-class river that is rare in Japan.
  • Jikkoku Pass (Ochiai Cobblestone Path)

    The Ochiai stone pavement, 840m long, was originally built to protect the steep slope from water and sand during heavy rain. Due to aging and the removal of stones, it is said that only two places, Ochiai and Hakone, still have stone pavements as they were in those days.
