"This day-use bathing facility is located in Hida-Osaka Onsenkyo, Osaka-cho, Gero City where is famous for waterfalls and hot springs . The natural, dark reddish-brown carbonated spring has been soothing travelers since ancient times, and the quality of the hot spring water is a rarity even in Japan for its ability to heal the body from both the inside and outside. The carbonated water in the baths ease muscle stiffness, it heals your stomach and intestines when ingested, and it is said that it produces a unique flavor and deliciousness when used in cooking. The popular ""Himeshaga wholly mineral spring special"" menu item you can enjoy in the dining area is shabu-shabu using natural carbonated spring water and ""Nattoku pork"" as Gifu's local specialty. Tofu boiled in mineral spring water has a mellow taste as it starts to dissolve, and it is recommended to make zosui rice soup with the dashi soup stock at the end."

This hot spring is located approximately a 7-minute walk from JR Gero Station. A while building with a Romanesque-style, this bathing facility has long been popular with locals. You can relax in the hot springs while gazing out on the Hida River and the surrounding mountains from the inner baths of Japanese cypress. Because there is no shampoo, body soap or towels, you will need to prepare and bring them in advance or purchase them there. At the front of the building, there is a free footbath with a statue of Venus in the center, making it a place bustling with many tourists.

This area was originally called ""Shimodomari"" as Japanese reading, but later called ""Geru"" as Chinese reading, and finally is called ""Gero"". Located a bit away from central Gero near Kaiseki Yado and Suihouen, it has an off-the-beaten-track feel.
