- A park filled with lilies flowering amidst sunlight filtering through hinoki cypress trees located 12 minutes away from Tarumi Railway Tanigumi-guchi Station via the Ibigawa Town Community Bus. Some 300 thousand lily plants spanning 50 varieties, including sukashi and oriental lilies, grow on the park’s three hectare grounds. The park is only open during the lily blooming season—early June to early July. During this time, the park holds a Lily Festival, and visitors can enjoy events such as Japanese kayo ballad performances, karaoke, and folk entertainment performances. Visitors can also purchase potted lily varieties here such as huge, white Casa Blanca lilies and bright red Acapulco lilies.

ひのき木立の中に咲き誇る色鮮やかなゆりの花。 入り口付近は沢山開花していましたが、奥に行くにつれ、蕾が多く満開になれば更に素晴らしい景色でしょう。 見ごたえがある素晴らしい場所でした。 入園料500円。駐車場は広く無料。 トイレも綺麗でした。

- This summertime garden can be viewed at Hida Funayama Snow Resoort Arkopia. It features about 200,000 sunflowers on a slope that's packed with skiers in winter. Lots of families come for the mid-August peak season when they set up the Himawari-komichi path through the flowers and a jumbo trampoline. With water games, activities blowing enormous bubbles, a specialty bazaar, and lots more, it's a Kuguno summer tradition.

- The cherry trees along the Saigawa River that flows around Sumimata Ichiyo Castle are more than 50 years old and stretch for about 2 km. Since 2006, hydrangeas have been planted along the road, and it is also known as "Cherry Blossom Embankment" or "Hydrangea Road.

- Take the Meihan Kintetsu Bus Hashima Line from Ogaki Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line, get off at the Sugue bus stop, and walk eight minutes. A 2.7 hectare, formerly fallow field planted with some 120 thousand sunflowers. The best time to view the flowers is from mid-August to early September. Sunflowers are planted here at two different times each year, ensuring visitors can enjoy viewing the flowers for an extended period of time. During the Sunflower Festival, the flowers are also lit up at night. An elevated rail line used by the Tokaido Shinkansen is located nearby, and if you are very lucky, you just might get to see a rare “Doctor Yellow” Shinkansen train jetting by decked out in a yellow livery similar to the sunflowers.

岐阜市の北の端にあるお寺で大きな達磨大師坐像が有ります。 駐車場も大きく一大宗教施設の雰囲気が有ります。 元々は690年頃に創建された古寺でしたが廃寺同然になっていたのを1502年に瑞翁禅師が禅宗に改宗して達磨大師像を本尊様の傍らに祀り再興した様です。 駐車場に車を停めるとそのまま達磨堂がある境内に入れますが、正式な山門は駐車場から少し歩いた場所に有ります。本堂横には1996年に設置された約5ｍの...

宿泊したかんぽの宿岐阜羽島のすぐ近くで「何かな？」と近づいてみました。遠目には水田っぽかったので、ハスが沢山咲いていてびっくりしました。大賀ハスの表示があったので、咲いていたのが大賀ハスだと思ったら、大賀ハスの説明をよく見るとピンク。沢山咲いていたクリーム色のハスは別の品種のようです。大賀ハスのエリアは、まだ葉の状態。何にしても旅の途中で偶然きれいなハスの群生を見られてラッキーでした。
