    Gifu Mizunami-shi Akiyocho Togari 54
An interactive, activity-oriented science museum, one of only a few in the country, located a 10-minute drive from the Mizunami Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. The museum has very few exhibits, and instead visitors can deepen their interest and understanding of science while having fun participating in the various experiments and creation events the museum holds. Enjoy a variety of experiments and experiences like the museum's hour long science shows combining images projected on a big screen with experiments performed on a stage, and special workshops where you can enjoy an experiment show conducted right in front of your eyes. The museum also holds public courses through which you can explore science more deeply.

This museum is located about 20 minutes from the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway Mino Interchange via National Route 156 and Prefectural Route 81. The museum introduces from various perspectives the world of Shisai style paper patchwork, with its traditions and hidden possibilities for the future, and history and techniques of Mino washi traditional Japanese paper passed down in the Mino area. The first exhibition room introduces the production areas of washi paper throughout Japan, history of washi, and papermaking technology. In the second exhibition room, they give concrete suggestions about practical uses of washi paper in everyday living spaces. In addition, you can also have a “papermaking experience” using authentic tools and natural ingredients in the workshop.

Nice Museum located in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture. But i think it should have more papers and paper exhibits on display. They had very few.

This roadside station on the side of National Route 41 is located a 15-minute drive from JR Kuguno Station. A red turret (Jomon Symbol Tower) serves as a landmark for the station, which has as the dual themes of “Jomon” and “Harvest.” Its buildings, designed to look like Jomon pit houses, house a bakery that offers fresh-baked bread, a gelato shop, and a fruit juice factory. The station’s restaurant is popular for local flavors such as their healthy Jomon udon noodles and their ayumeshi (sweetfish rice), a winter exclusive made with wild-caught sweetfish. The farmer’s market is stocked with fresh, locally-harvested fruits and vegetables. Their winter-only apple pie is also popular.

There is a plant on the premises where the richly fragrant and deeply flavorful tea, grown in the harsh local climate, is processed and sold to the public. Located about a 10-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, this long-established store manufactures and sells traditional Hida handicrafts, sashiko (quilted clothes). Housed in a machiya (traditional wooden townhouse) on a quiet street along the Miya River, it has a space that spreads like a gallery. The “bobo kurumi,” carefully made piece by piece, is a cute sarubobo (monkey doll) made using cloth that can be bought only here. There are many small accessories that use traditional patterns in a contemporary style, and besides pouches and bags, there are also luncheon mats and tissue paper cases with beautiful designs. Even the same products have their own individuality, making it fun to search for your favorite one.
