Gifu Kamo-gun Yaotsu Cho Yaotsu 4096-1
"A long standing Japanese confectionary shop located a three-minute walk from the Yaotsu Town Hall. The shop continues to make confections according to secret recipes never taken off the premises and handed down parent to child. The shop's specialty kuri kinton is a popular and simple gem with a mildly sweet sugar taste and rich chestnut flavor. Because they are made with fresh picked chestnuts, they are a seasonal item only offered from late August through early April. The shop also carries an abundant variety of products offered year round, like ""Kuritamadare"" kuri kinton wrapped in gyuhi, and ""Kurimu Daifuku"" candied chopped chestnut kuri kinton mixed with fresh cream."

The sweet bean paste using plenty of good quality groundwater has a clean taste without any harshness. It is their prided product wrapped in yeast for making sake that they have made for over 150 years. Tesshin Ohara, who was once the feudal lord of the Mino-Ogaki domain, was very impressed when given them, and it is said the name of the confection was chosen in a song to praise it."
