A tourist attraction and educational facility dedicated to eating, buying, and learning about natural food owned and operated by the Saladacosmo company and located a three minute drive from the Nakatsugawa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. The facility consists of a farm which grows chicory, a brewery which crafts Chico Chico chicory shochu, a shop, and the Barbarzu Dining restaurant. Visitors can tour the farm and brewery. The facility’s restaurant serves homemade dishes in buffet style designed around the concept of local production for local consumption crafted with local, seasonal agricultural products by local farmer’s wives—this eatery is so popular, wait times can be quite long on weekends.

This is a bakery & pastry shop adjoining a bread factory and workshop, and a farm all together on an expansive area along National Route 21. At this shop, over 150 types of varieties of handmade breads are made here, in which only domestic ingredients are used. Not only can customers buy bread to take home, but one of the attractions is that one can enjoy the bread there at the eat-in space or at outdoor cafe tables. In addition to the everyday popular breads, many new breads and pastry creations by the pastry chef are for sale along with cheeses and wines. At the adjoining cafe, Bellwood, breads and pizzas are the main items offered.

This restaurant sells “Keichan”, a local specialty of Gifu Prefecture. It is located close to National Route 257 heading for Butai Pass. Keichan is seasoned chicken grilled with cabbage and other vegetables, and is said to have originated from Jingisukan (grilled mutton) cuisine. Their most popular menu item is the “Keichan set” that has a traditional taste going back more than 50 years. Cooking it yourself is what makes it distinctive, and there is also a detailed manual for first-timers. The rich chicken flavor goes well with rice and also great as a snack with sake. The store is very popular with locals as well as tourists.

This restaurant specializing in Hida beef, the most historic location of this nationwide chain, offers Saitobi beef, which is superior even to A5-grade beef. We recommend their course meals, as well as their lunches, which let you choose from one of three Hida beef main dishes: classic chargrilled barbeque, ultimate shabu-shabu (Japanese hot pot), and traditional sukiyaki. Whether it’s their fresh homemade tofu, their Okuminokojidori chicken, which gets more savory with every bite, or their locally-grown vegetables, the restaurant pays great attention to all of their ingredients, not just their beef. You’re sure to enjoy the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere, created in part by the torch near the entrance.

The main branch of a café and Western confectionary shop which also has locations overseas situated a five minute drive from the Tajimi Interchange. The owner, who worked in Paris, aims to create new sweets based on classic French confections while respecting the traditions of the past. The shop’s display case is filled with row upon row of different confections, and the selection is so abundant you’ll have difficulty choosing. Particularly recommended is the shop’s specialty “Visitandine,” a small cake made with almonds and browned butter which has even been praised by Parisian confectionary chefs. The shop also offers many seasonal items such as gateau chocolate and shaved ice. The shop’s Nishio matcha and yuzu cake, limited to just three customers a day, is also a must-taste.

Delicious noodles. Very helpful staffs who help to fulfill our orders. We request to have a quail egg for the traditional soba noodles which is not inside the menu. Their curry ramen is yummy too.

"A long standing Japanese confectionary shop located a three-minute walk from the Yaotsu Town Hall. The shop continues to make confections according to secret recipes never taken off the premises and handed down parent to child. The shop's specialty kuri kinton is a popular and simple gem with a mildly sweet sugar taste and rich chestnut flavor. Because they are made with fresh picked chestnuts, they are a seasonal item only offered from late August through early April. The shop also carries an abundant variety of products offered year round, like ""Kuritamadare"" kuri kinton wrapped in gyuhi, and ""Kurimu Daifuku"" candied chopped chestnut kuri kinton mixed with fresh cream."

    朝一に来店したのですが、中々店員の方が出られづ店主の年配女性が対応して頂きましたが、横柄な接客態度、非常識な梱包に怒りを覚えました。

This Japanese confectionary shop is on the right side of the road heading towards the Naegi traffic light. The shop's signature kuri kinton mashed sweet potatoes and candied chestnuts, made with chestnuts grown in Miyazaki Prefecture, have a delicate chestnut aroma. Other popular products include ""Kahoguri"" - chestnut paste mixed with butter cream and wrapped in a cocoa flavored choux pastry dough; and the ""Dodan no Sato"" Western-style dorayaki pancake sandwich filled with a white azuki bean filling."

Their nihachi-soba noodles (80/20 buckwheat/udon flour mix) are hand-made daily from carefully selected domestic buckwheat that they stone-grind themselves. The noodles have a mild aroma and taste great going down. They also sell Sasa-zushi, a Gero Onsen specialty, consisting of bite-sized sushi wrapped in a bamboo leaf.
