    An activity center situated along National Route 361 in Shinkai, Kiso Town, Kiso County, Nagano Prefecture. Operating out of a former wooden school building, the center offers a variety of activities in which you can make local foods such as soba noodles, goheimochi broiled rice cake skewers, and enoki hamaki rice cakes wrapped in hackberry leaves; as well as kusaki-zome plant extract fabric dying and other crafts, and tree planting and forest cultivation activities (all activities require an advance reservation). Adjoining facilities include a restaurant, RV park, wooden playground, and gymnasium.

    地元の方に勧められて訪れました。 廃校になった木造校舎を利用した施設です。 お土産屋があり、そば打ち体験もできるようですが 今回の訪問目的は、入場料100円/人で木のおもちゃで2歳の娘と遊ぶこと。 色々楽しめましたが、対象適齢年齢は4歳から小学校低学年くらいかな。

    An activity center located on the grounds of Kisouma no Sato on the Kaida Highland in Kiso Town, Kiso County, Nagano Prefecture. Here you can use flour ground from the buckwheat that is one of the Kaida Highland's specialty products and make soba noodles with your own hands under the guidance of a well-known local soba chef. The center also sells soba making implements and soba making sets which include buckwheat flour.
