    Located in “Togakureryu Ninja Town” Togakushi, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, this experience-based amusement park is based on ninjas and ninjutsu. With trick houses, ninja manors and other buildings, there’s also field athletics that constitute ninja training, like “water-spider technique.” There’s enough for kids and adults to have a fun time. The resource museum is also popular, with its comprehensive collection of ninja goods, historical materials, as well as manga and movies that cover ninjas. You can even rent fun ninja costumes.

    Shirakaba Resort Family Land Ikenotaira is near Lake Shirakaba and features many facilities besides the theme park attractions, such as an art museum and sports activities. You can bring food and drink onto the premises, and pets are allowed with leashes and cages. There’s an adjoining hotel as well with amenities for nursing children. There’s something for everyone at this nature-surrounded facility regardless of age. It’s about 35 minutes from the Suwa Minami Interchange or Suwa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.

    A go-cart circuit. Here you can hop in a one-person go-cart and race around the facility's track. The facility offers a wide variety of group packs, and several people can come here to do a time attack challenge or fight to take first place in a race. With an advance reservation, you can even completely rent out the track. The facility also has junior carts which can be ridden by children 120 centimeters or taller, and baby carts for children at least 100 centimeters tall. In addition, the facility offers an hour long junior school course in which an instructor can ride along and teach a child how to drive a go-cart.

    The dinosaur park has 25 stunning, life-sized dinosaurs arranged in order of the age in which they existed. Visitors are free to touch the statues and some even have play equipment integrated into their bodies. The 33 hectare botanical park is one of the largest in the prefecture and close to 200 varieties of plants are grown here.

    This urban park extends from the Sakudaira Parking Area of the Joshinetsu Expressway to the jumbo escalator.
