    Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort is popular among beginners and families for its safe terrain. The Kane-no-naru-oka course slopes gently down the hill and has a generous width of over 1200 meters. Skiers can also enjoy the fantastic atmosphere when the slopes are lit up during night skiing. The uma-no-se (horseback) course for advanced skiers is set on a narrow ridge with large humps continuing down the steep slope. On fine days Mt. Fuji can be seen from the highest point at an elevation of 1700 meters. For the adventurous why not try out the special Heli-ski and Snowboard activity.

    An aquarium located close to Pilatus Tateshina Snow Resort in Kitayama, Chino City. Situated 1,750 meters above sea level, it is the highest aquarium in Japan. Specializing in freshwater fish, visitors can view lake and river fish from around the world, including pirarucu, the largest freshwater fish in the world. The aquarium also allows pets and has a dog park.

    淡水魚しかいないのか、と失礼ながらそれほど期待をせずに入館したのですが、とても楽しめました! マニアックな魚が多く派手さはないものの、見たことのない魚や各水槽の説明文に、こんな生き物がいるの?!という驚きが止まりませんでした。 説明も読みながらじっくり見て回ると、豆知識も増えるし、おもしろかったです。

    This ski resort is in Fujimi Fujimi Town. Besides winter sports there are many activities that showcase Mt. Nyukasa’s natural seasonal scenery. You can enjoy trekking and mountainbike riding in spring and summer and in autumn you can go on one of the many gondola rides and see the scenery illuminated by the Mt. Yatsutagake sunrise; options include the “premium sea of clouds gondola” “fall foliage gondola” and “night gondola” rides. In addition because the ski slopes make a heart shape when viewed from the Yatsutagake observation platform onsite the area is known as a sacred lovers’ spot.

    An orchard standing along Prefectural Route 29 in Kusama, Nakano City. From June to around November, visitors can enjoy picking cherries, peaches, grapes, and apples (when in season). The orchard also has a restaurant which can accommodate groups and which serves chestnut okowa rice, Shinshu beef sukiyaki meals, and other dishes. In the orchard's fast food area, meanwhile, you can eat curry and noodle dishes. The orchard's shop sells farm-fresh produce and an abundant variety of Shinshu souvenirs.

    団体で利用し、2階で団体用のメニューで食事をしました。味は当たり障りのないものでしたが、野沢菜が絶妙な塩加減で、とても美味しかったです。

Visitors can also use some of the works on display to take amazing photos. Pets are allowed in the museum and can even be brought into the adjoining cafe."

    入口が狭いのと入場が高いので、気にはなってたけど中々入れなかった美術館。いざ入ってみると三階建てで奥行きもあったのと、インスタ映えするので、けっこう長い時間写真撮ったりして、楽しめました。

    The Obuse Museum / Nakajima Chinami Kan opened in 1992, and they store and display collections by modern Japanese painter Chinami Nakajima in the “Nakajima Chinami Kan” building, as well as traditional “matsuri yatai (festival stalls),” Obuse cultural artifacts. The trees in the area display the beauty of the four seasons, and the “Hanasaku Burari Art Museum” certainly lives up to its name. It’s about 12 minutes on foot from Obuse Station on the Nagano Line and about five minutes from the Obuse Smart Interchange on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway.

    This flower museum is located in Nakamatsu, Obuse Town. Surrounded by five famous peaks, Mt. Karida, and other sights, you’ll find flower gardens with themes based on various seasons. There’s the “Chinese phoenix” garden based on the Hokusai Katsushika depiction of the firebird, the “Tropical Fantasy” greenhouse featuring 200 types of plants, and other exhibitions. There’s also a flower shop that sells gardening goods.

    秋も終わりに近く、落ち葉のお庭にはお邪魔しませんでした。フラワーショップではクリスマスの寄せ植えやリースが並び、とてもお安く魅力的でした。花の盛りの頃に、もう1度訪れてみたいと思います。

You can visit it without entering the museum."

    宿泊していたホテルの向かい側にあるので、チェックアウト前に見学しました。館内は可愛いテディベアがいっぱい。ウエディングや世界の街角などのセットにいろいろなスタイルをしたテディベアがお出迎えしてくれます。多種多様なシーンを見て楽しめるのが最高です。お土産コーナーも充実。どのテディベアを選ぼうか迷うくらい。小さいお子様連れのファミリーにはオススメのスポットです。

    This is a museum in Kokumachi Town, Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture, using the house of the Tanaka merchant family who amassed great wealth in the Edo period through grain, rapeseed oil, tobacco, cotton and brewing. In the 10,000 square meter plot around the stone storehouse are the former main building, reception hall and bathing room, and the strolling garden with central pond is beautiful in all seasons. In the stone storehouse exhibition room is a permanent exhibit of the daily goods used by the Tanaka family from the middle of the Edo period into the Showa period, and there are special exhibitions held five times a year.

In addition to introducing the wildlife and history of the Hida Mountains, the museum also holds exhibitions on the symbiosis between mountain-top ecosystems and people. At the attached zoo facility, Hida Mountain wildlife like Japanese serows and owls are kept; an exhibit featuring ptarmigans, a designated National Special Monument, reopened in 2016.     A 10-minute walk from Komoro Station and a 10-minute drive from the Komoro Interchange. This art museum is located close to Kashima Shrine on the northwest side of Komoro Castle Park. The museum displays the works of Western-style painter Keizo Koyama, an honorary citizen of Komoro City who has also been awarded the Order of Culture. Established by the artist in 1975, the museum and the artwork inside it have been donated to the city. The museum's wide-ranging collection, spanning an array of periods and genres, also includes water colors, sketches, and depictions of Mt. Asama and a summertime forest the artist created while a junior high school student. The museum also holds special exhibitions and exhibitions of works submitted by the general public.

    This museum has exhibits on the Median Tectonic Line. It's the largest fault line in Japan running along the western half of the Japanese archipelago from Kanto to Kyushu. It's almost directly below Mt. Akaishi and the main peaks of the southern Alps near Shizuoka's prefectural border. Though it runs overland for 1,000 kilometers, this is one of the rare portions where you can observe a fault outcrop and other unique geological features.     A ski area built on the eastern slope of Mt. Reisenji, one of the peaks of Mt. Iizuna, which itself is counted as one of the Five Peaks of Northern Nagano. The resort has a variety of courses for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers to enjoy, including the 2,500-meter Long Course, the 100-meter wide Flat Burn, and the natural snow Powder Course. Snowboards can also be used on all of the courses. The resort is also a place where families with children can have fun, and in addition to a kids' park with walking course and sledding hill popular with children, the resort has a daycare facility for children between the ages of 18 months and six years.
