    This music box museum is located at Kawaguchiko Town, Minamitsuru County, Yamanashi Prefecture. In addition to music boxes playing, there are live concerts too, so you can enjoy historical works and performances of the music box. Inside is a flower garden, with flowers in each season decorated the garden, so, in conjunction with the surrounding buildings, you can feel as though you are in a different country. There is also a museum shop where you can buy souvenirs, and a restaurant where you can get a meal.

    This three Michelin star art museum exhibits the kimono of textile artist Itchiku Kubota. Kubota established a unique dyeing technique called ''Itchiku Tsujigahana'' after having been fascinated by the Tsujigahana style of fabric dyeing that flourished in the Muromachi Period before suddenly dying out. The museum displays Takeda's ''Symphony of Light'' series, which features kimono with themes including the four seasons, the ocean, and the universe. It also displays kimono featuring motifs of the many faces shown by Mt. Fuji in different weather conditions.

    Amply demonstrating the beauty of jewels, and built to spread proper information on jewels, Yamanashi Gem Museum displays an array of items, from raw minerals to jewelry gathered from jewelry sites around the world. Yamanashi makes roughly one-fourth of the jewelry manufactured in Japan, so the exhibits here, showing the process from raw mineral to jewel, is certainly worth a look.

    Built by Fujiwara Noritada in the year 699, this shrine is the oldest on Mt. Fuji. While it was originally built at Mt. Fuji's second station, the shrine was rebuilt multiple times by the imperial family and influential warlords due to deterioration stemming from the severe surrounding natural environment and following its destruction in eruptions. It was finally relocated to its current location in 1974 in order to preserve it. The current main shrine building, a nationally-designated important cultural property, was built in 1612 by Tokugawa clan vassal Torii Naritsugu.

    Very nice. From here pilgrims used to start their climb to Mt. Fuji It is peaceful and very beautiful.

The dolls are entirely handmade, from body to clothes and accessories, earning worldwide acclaim and praise as cloth sculptures. The interior also features a glass-walled cafe, where you can relax and enjoy beautiful natural views of Lake Kawaguchi and the gardens.

    Great museum with unique exposition! It was both Japanese cultural and great art experiences at the same time.

    Opened in 1991, the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art is an art museum at the base of Mt. Fuji housing mainly paintings, prints, and photographs depicting Mt. Fuji. It is famous for its Mt. Fuji Photo Award which began in 1999. Every year, there is a period when prize-winning pieces are displayed, drawing in many people.

    The exhibition was alaways very well selected from artists. Give enough spaces for the art pieces. Especially on Mt. Fuji picturesfron many different direction can be seen in this museum.

  • Saiko ‘Iyashi no Sato Nenba’ open air museum

    In 2006 the village of thatched roofed buildings which formerly existed on the shores of the Lake Saiko, the Nemba area, were reconstructed as “Iyashi no Sato”. The buildings which number approximately 20 have been turned into restaurants where you can taste different types of local cuisine, areas for handmade interactive workshops and shops selling local products. Also because Mt. Fuji can be clearly seen, many people take pictures together with the thatched roofed buildings.

    This old shrine was built on the command of Emperor Seiwa in 865 in the hopes of extinguishing the fires caused by the eruption of Mt. Fuji the previous year. It enshrines Asama no Okami (Konohananosakuya-hime), the deity of Mt. Fuji. The Magomi matsuri festival held in April and the Daidai Okagurasai festival held in July both see many visitors. The shrine was designated as part of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site in 2013.

    音響もよくステージも近く用意ホールだと思います。ただ一つ難点はコンクリートの階段にスポンジのマットを引くだけの客席。高齢者にはつらいです。背もたれもなく勾配がきゅうで腰が痛くなるし、何しろ危険ですらあります。
