    A 40-minute drive from the Kawaguchiko Interchange and the Fujiyoshida Interchange. This Shinto shrine is located at Mt. Fuji's second station, commonly known as Heda no Tsuji. Frequently featured in the media in recent years, the shrine is believed to grant worshippers improved luck with money and business prosperity. The shrine is primarily dedicated to Oyamatsumi-no-Kami, a god of both mountains and sea, and the rear shrine is built on a site once used as a rest area by those who engaged in maintenance work on the mountain. The current shrine was newly built in 2011. A festival for the rear shrine is held in the morning of October 16. Note that in most years the shrine is closed to visitors from late November to the end of April because the path to the shrine is closed during this time.

    This day-use hot spring bathhouse is located in Tsuru City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Japanese haiku master Matsuo Basho once stayed in the area, and the facility's name comes from his love of the moon's beauty. The simple alkaline spring is said to help alleviate nerve pain, sore muscles, and sore joints. It has two kinds of outdoor baths, a rock encircled bath and one bordered with larger stones. The indoor baths have varying water temperatures. The men's and women's bathing areas alternate each week, and each of the outdoor bathing areas has a stone monument to Matsuo Basho. They provide body soap and shampoo, and they rent towels too. In addition to a large lounge where you can unwind, you can visit their eatery for their meal sets or to try Hoto noodles, a Yamanashi specialty.

Fuji, the Fujisan Museum (Fujiyoshida City Museum of History and Folklore) depicts the industries, folklore, history and compositional assets of Fuji Yoshida region. The adjacent Oshi (Former-Togawa family House), whose main building was built in 1768 and whose back parlor was added around the end of Shogunate, still exists as it did then, so you can see it today and learn many important historical things.

    This fishing spot is located at the midpoint of Tabayama Gorge in Tabayama Village, Kitatsuru County, Yamanashi Prefecture.     Only open in August every year, the Kawaguchiko Motor Museum shows off a variety of cars, divided into Hall A, with exhibits from the birth of cars to the 1950s with different themes, and Hall B, with exhibits of cars from the 1950s to the present. You can also see airplanes in the adjacent airplane building and cars displayed outside near the parking lot.

    10 minutes on National Route 139 from the Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. This golf course, carved out of a forest, is distinguished by its authentic bentgrass. The par four four hole and par 58 18 hole short course is filled with variety and has a maximum driving distance of 317 yards, and everyone from beginners to veterans can enjoy a whole day here. The facility also offers a one person reservation service which will match you up with other golfers (membership registration required). The facility's restaurant is a great place to drop by halfway through or after your round; the teriyaki set meal is particularly recommended.

    Visitors to this managed fishing area with lots of nature and greenery can enjoy fishing and barbequing. Easy access from central Tokyo and a quiet and secluded atmosphere make it popular with anglers. The fishing spots are stocked with rainbow trout, landlocked masu salmon, amago, and char depending on the season. Anglers may bring up to 30 pieces of natural bait or up to 10 artificial lures or fly.

    In between the Umagaeshi point and the climbing gate of Kitaguchihongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine, this tea house sells light meals like dumplings, and provides tourist information. Around the facilities are National Natural Monuments and a cluster of fuji-zakura (otome-zakura) cherry trees-which have been designated as Fujiyoshida City's official flower-so it is now known for its flowers. The Fujizakura Festival is held during Fuji-zakura cherry tree's peak season in early May, to the delight of many hanami visitors.

    A Torii gate just a five-minute walk from Mt. Fuji Station or a five-minute drive from the Kawaguchiko Interchange. It towers over the street and has the kanji for Mt. Fuji framed upon it. It was first built in 1788 and was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. The current gate was constructed in 1957. It was originally called the Karakane-dorii as it was made from bronze imported from ancient China ('Kara' meaning ancient China and 'Kane' meaning bronze) and the current Kana-dorii name is said to be a corruption of the original name. It serves to welcome believers who are coming to climb Mt. Fuji and passing through the gate moves you from the secular world to the world of the Mt. Fuji faith.

    大人数向けのコテージに宿泊しました。部屋広くて清潔でした。 コテージの隣にはツリーハウスなどもあり子供も喜んでいました。 11月のもう寒い時期の宿泊でしたが、灯油ストーブが用意してあり助かりました。 欲を言えば、室内のシャワーはお湯が出るのでキッチンのシンクでもお湯がでるようにしてあるとよいかと思います。

    A small café inside a remodeled old Japanese house. The café engages in community initiatives, including selling artwork by local artists and holding irregular exhibitions in the gallery on the second floor. The mild flavor of the café's coffee, made with water from Mt. Fuji, is particularly popular. The shop closes irregularly and is sometimes only open a few days a month, making it a good idea to check before visiting. The closest station is Gekkoji Station on the Fujikyuko Line.

    Found this place on our return from climbing mount Fuji so after a little rest went back to have drink. This place may not be to every ones taste but for me was a boss little find to sit and relax...

    This 550-meter-tall mountain is located in Otsuki-cho, Otsuki City. It is famous for the nearly 3,000 cherry blossom trees that bloom there in the spring. A number of events are hosted in the area including the annual Otsuki Cherry Blossom Festival. During the festival, the mountain's cherry blossoms are illuminated at night. The sight of Mt. Fuji seen from the mountain's peak has been selected as one of the Shurei Fugaku Junikei, a list of 12 great views of Mt. Fuji from the peaks of mountains in Otsuki City.
