- This 30-kilometer-long scenic road connects Lake Kawaguchi to Mt. Fuji fifth station. After driving for about forty minutes through the forest, which is home to Japanese red pine, and southern Japanese hemlock, and other species, you will arrive at the fifth station. There, you can enjoy views of the Mt. Yatsugatake and Southern Japan Alps, as well as a grand panoramic view of the Fuji Five Lakes below that can only be described as astounding. This mountain road stays open all year long and can be traveled in during winter depending on the road conditions and weather (except during periods when personal vehicles are banned).

- Admission at this herb garden in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture is free of charge. The herbs that grow in the more than 30,000 square-meter garden can be enjoyed all year long. In addition to herbs, the garden also grows a variety of seasonal flowers. Besides the viewing area, the garden also features a souvenir shop that offers original merchandise, as well as a cafe where you can enjoy herb tea or a light meal.

It is a nice place to visit as the area is big with a lot of Herb around the garden. Inside this Herd garden, there are a souvenir, beauty product and an ice-cream counter sell lavender ice-cream.

- This observation dock is located along between Lake Yamanaka and Mikuni Pass along Prefectural Route 730. During the day, visitors can enjoy views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji, and on clear days you can even see as far as the Southern Japan Alps. During the sunset, the sky and the lake are tinted red by the setting sun, creating a truly mystical sight. The ocean of silver grass that grows in the surrounding area treats visitors to especially beautiful sights in the fall.

- A garden located a five-minute drive from the Yamanakako Interchange and the Fujiyoshida Interchange, and 10 minutes from the Kawaguchiko Interchange. The European-style garden's five hectare grounds are situated 934.8 meters above sea level and its flower beds bloom with flowers year round. There's also a grass field, Japanese larch walking path, and a medicinal herb garden. Visitors can also enjoy the natural scenery to be found here and observe wild birds as well as rainbow trout swimming in the garden's pond. Thanks to its location close to Mt. Fuji, lava rock can be discovered here as well.

- "This wide-area agricultural road stretches over Koshu City, Yamanashi City, and Fuefuki City. Starting in Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City, it runs along the fruit tree belt of the Kofu Basin through Yamanashi City before ending in Kasugai-cho, Fuefuki City. Visitors can enjoy driving or cycling the route while taking in ""A Landscape Interwoven with Vineyards,"" which has been designated as a Japan Heritage. There are also many fruit farms along the road that offer fruit picking."

- This bridge, along with the Kintaikyo-Bridge of Iwakuni and the Kiso no Kakehashi Bridge, is one of Japan's three most famous unusual bridges. The 30 meter-long, 3.3 meter-wide bridges do not have any piers. It is notably supported by four-layered Hanegi (slantingly protruding wooden member to support roof and bridge) that extend from both sides of the river. The bridge is said to have been inspired by arched shape of a troop of monkeys walking along a deep ravine. This scenic spot is a great place to enjoy the seasonal scenery of the Katsura River Valley.

- This dam and artificial lake in Yamanashi Prefecture Yamanashi City was developed in 1975 for the dual purposes of flood control and utilizing the water to promote the rapid development of the area along the lake's coast. The lookout terrace of the park adjacent to the dam offers up views of the magnificent form of the Oku-Chichibu Mountains and the beautiful seasonal scenery of Lake Hirose, The dam's administrative office distributes driftwood and dam cards.

- Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge

- This bridge was the first in Japan built inside a national park special area. Selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Roads in 1987 for its beautiful scenery, the bridge also features a walkway that allows pedestrians to cross. On clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji very well.

- This valley community is located about 60 minutes from Kofu-minami Interchange or Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. It once prospered as a post station on the Minobu Okan, a road that connects Kuonji Temple on Mt. Minobu, the head temple of the Nichiren Shu order of Nichiren Buddhism, to Mt. Shichimen, one of its sacred sites. Until the current roads were built in the late 1950s, the Minobu Okan was the only road to Mt. Shichimen, so the post town was patronized by many temple visitors. It is said that 1000 people a day stayed in the town's lodges during its peak between the Meiji period and the early Showa period. The buildings and cobbled streets look just as they did during centuries ago during the Edo period. This townscape has been designated as a Preservation District for Groups of Important Historic Buildings.

- This 490 meter-long, 100 meter-tall yellow bridge over the Kawamata River Valley is well known as a scenic spot. From the bridge, you can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji, Mt. Yatsugatake, Mt. Kaikomagatake, and the three peaks of Mt. Ho-o. The area is home to many varieties of deciduous tree, including Japanese larch, Japanese white birch, and Japanese maple. From late October to early November, their leaves turn to red and yellow.

- Hoshino Resorts Risonare Yatsugatake “Piment Street”

- This boulevard is located inside the Hoshino Resort Risonare Yatsugatake where a variety of activities including a spa, and a pool are available for the guest’s enjoyment, and is only a five- minute drive from the Kobuchizawa Interchange. It is also accessible by a shuttle bus that runs between the Kobuchizawa Station and the resort. This charming cobblestone boulevard is one of the main attractions of the resort, and is totally transformed into a world of enchantment during Halloween and Christmas with many events for visitors. There are so many different types of shops, cafes, and sundry boutiques lining the boulevard that time flies while just browsing the stores.

- A nature trail encircling Lake Shoji which takes around 45 minutes to walk. From the lake's sandy north shore to the lava flows of Aokigahara at its south shore, those walking the trail can take in the natural scenery and catch sight of animals living around the lake. A sign at the entrance to the trail provides information on the plant life which grows here and how big it gets as well as on small animals living in the area. The sign even provides detailed information on how the eruptions of Mt. Fuji influenced the area and the composition of the lava rock here.

- A street just a short walk east of Gekkoji Station. Paper lanterns hang from above along the Gekkoji Daimon Shopping Arcade and the appearance of the shops lining the street will take you back to the Showa-period (1926-1989). The area flourished in the textile industry during the early Showa-period to the 1960s and many shops are still open to this day. Part of the appeal is the sense of nostalgia you'll feel as you wander the variety of shops. The streetlights have an extreme retro design and some buildings have almost fallen into a state of disrepair. This well known spot has also been used for location shooting in movies.

- A series of nature trails around the Seisen-ryo lodging facility, located just a five-minute drive from JR Kiyosato Station. There are nine trails winding through the nature rich Yatsugatake mountain region. Trails range from 30-minute jaunts to half day treks and you can pick a course that fits your stamina levels, from a peaceful forest therapy walk, to nature observation, trekking, or bird watching. From the look-out terraces on the spacious meadows on the trails you can look out at Mt. Fuji or the Chichibu Mountain Range including Mt. Kinpu. You can also see beautiful examples of Rhododendron transiens, a natural memorial.

- A 90 meter long scarlet bridge extending across Higashisawa Ravine. Also known as the “Red Bridge,” its vivid color stands out amidst the magnificent natural beauty of the area. Cars can be parked on the east side of the bridge to view the area. There’s also a trail which follows the ravine, perfect for trekking.

- This scenic lookout is located in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It offers views of Kofu Station, Kofu Castle, the Kofu Basin, and the far-off Southern Japan Alps. During the cherry blossom season, the facilities of the Kofu City waterworks bureau located behind the benches are opened to the public, allowing visitors to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Being a rest spot along the Yamasuso Inishie no Michi (a walking and cycling trail with historical ties to Takeda Shingen), the lookout is visited by many people.

- This scenic park is located south of Mt. Amigasa, part of the Yatsugatake Mountain Range, at an altitude of 1,560 meters. The area is visited by many climbers and hikers as it serves as the start of the Yatsugatake Mountains climbing and hiking trails. The Fujimidaira Observatory located along the Yatsugatake Kogen Line as you head north towards Kannondaira features views of Mt. Fuji, the Chichibu Mountains, and the Southern Alps, making it a great place to enjoy nature.
