- Yamanashi Prefectural Yatsugatake ShizenFureaiCenter is an experiential learning center that introduces visitors to the natural environment and culture of the southern foothills of the Yatsugatake Range. A hands-on exhibit lets visitors touch birds' feathers and deer antlers, and participatory exhibits let visitors enjoy learning about local nature and culture in a quiz format. Nature guides are always onsite, and they are happy to answer questions and suggest walking routes. Free events, such as guided walks and camping sessions, are held at regular intervals and have become especially popular among families with children. The Center has also received favorable attention for its seasonal photographic exhibits and lectures by well-known public figures.

Yamanashi Areas
Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan’s most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country’s highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
