"A 15-minute drive from the Kawaguchiko Interchange. The Kozantei Ubuya-mae bus stop is situated right on this cape on the northern bank of the Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge. The cape's name, which literally translates to ""Birthing Room Cape,"" is derived from the legend that the goddess Konohanasakuya-bime gave birth here. A fantastically scenic location with Mt. Fuji on the left hand side and the Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge on the right, on clear days when the winds are gentle, visitors can also see Mt. Fuji reflected upside down in the surface of the lake. Other area highlights include stone monuments inscribed with Fuji-related poems by the great Matsuo Basho and Seiko Nakamura, as well as a relief of Koyo Okada, a photographer who shot pictures of Mt. Fuji from the area throughout his career. In spring, cherry trees in the area come into bloom, further adding to the picturesque Fuji scenery."

Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan’s most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country’s highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
