    Arakurayama Sengen Park is the best place to see Mt. Fuji from within Fujiyoshida City. Especially during the spring, when the Yoshino cherry blossom trees are in full bloom in the park, it’s a popular place to enjoy both the cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji. Moreover, having been designated as one of the new three major night views in Japan and top 100 night views, it’s no wonder the park is hugely popular with night view fans.

    This historic district recreates the castle town around Kofu Castle as it appeared in the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa periods. Visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, visiting art museums, and more in the retro atmosphere created by cobbled roads, stores located inside transplanted old folk homes, a reproduction of the hour bell that informed residents of the time for over two centuries, and other attractions. The area is conveniently located adjacent to Kofu Station's north gate.

    平日5時過ぎに行きました。ほとんどのお店は閉店の時間なのか、平日営業していないか分かりませんが、電気はついておらず、寂しい感じ。

    The “Sabuichi Yusui” spring at the foot of Yatsugatake has been chosen as one of Japan’s top 100 springs. Legend has it that back when disputes over water rights were fierce, Sengoku feudal lord Takeda Shingen built a triangular stone pillar over the mouth of the spring so that three villages could split the water evenly.

    三分一湧水の近くにある施設で、観光シーズンだと、そばは昼前から混雑しています。 蕎麦屋の前の駐車場はすぐうまりますが、その奥の駐車場も無料で利用できるので、駐車できないほど混んでいるということはないと思います。

    Designated as a National Natural Monument in 1922, and chosen as one of Japan's New 100 Best Trees, the Yamataka Jindai-zakura cherry is in Jissoji Temple, whose historical buildings were all lost due to two fires. However, it does feature the Jindai-zakura cherry-over 2000 years old-which blooms beautifully every peak season in early April, much to the delight of hanami visitors. Also, in the vast precincts, you will find 30 cherry trees ages 50 to 100, and roughly 100,000 daffodils and tulips planted in the flower garden.

    2023年は、各地の桜は異例の速さで満開を迎えましたが実相寺の桜も03月下旬が見ごろでした。訪問したのは平日の昼前でしたが周辺の駐車場はほぼ満車状態でした。駐車料金は500円が中心で一部400円のところもありました。山高神代桜も頑張って 咲いていました。水仙畑とのコラボレーションも魅力も一つです。

Fuji merchandise, information on the mountain, and more. The rest house's post office cancels the postage of mail sent from the station with an exclusive commemorative stamp.

    This historic plum garden, known for its flowers, was opened in 1897. The garden was built on a leveled hillside covering 50,000 square meters in the eastern Kofu Basin, it is planted with flowering plum, sacred bamboo, cheery trees, azaleas, maples and more plants to admire. It is filled with visitors during plum blossom season, from February through March.

    言わずと知れた梅の名所。 丘の斜面を利用した造成した梅園です。 上まで行くとちょっとした散歩になるかな。 展望もなかなかで、気持ちが良いですね。

    This scenically beautiful park spreads across the side of Mt. Oboshi in the southwestern tip of Kofu Basin. It offers a view of Mt. Fuji and the Fuji River, the Kofu Basin, the Yatsugatake Mountains, and beyond. The park's more than 2,000 cherry blossom trees, including Sato-zakura cherry and weeping cherries, earned it a spot on the Japan Cherry Blossom Association's list of the country's 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots. The park holds the Oboshi Sakura Festival during the annual bloom season that is attended by large crowds of people.

    桜満開の時期に訪問しました。 お祭りが開催されていて、期間中は駐車場が500円となっていました。 県外から桜観光に来て、山梨県内の桜の名所をかなり回りましたが、ここが1番良かったです。山の斜面に桜の木々が植えてあるので、絵面がいい景色なります。 山上では、出店があり、たくさんの花見客が桜を満喫していました。

    This cherry blossom tree, one of Japan's three most famous, stands on the grounds of Jisso-ji Temple in Mukawa-cho, Hokuto City. Its estimated age of 2,000 years makes it one of Japan's oldest trees. At the same time, its 10-meter height combined with its massive 10-meter circumference of its trunk makes it one of the biggest. It was designated as Japan's first national natural monument in 1922. Around the time its cherry blossoms are in full bloom, some 80,000 daffodils that grow nearby come in full bloom as well. This creates an exquisite contrast between the blue ski, the light pink above, and the yellow underfoot.

    This spot famous for its fall foliage is located north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. It is about a ten-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Interchange and about a 15-minute drive from Fujiyoshida Interchange. The stunning tunnel of fall leaves stretches for 150 meters along the banks of the Nashigawa River. It is one of the highlights of the Fuji Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival held from early to mid-November. Musical and other performances are showcased on stages set up for the festival. The area bustles with rows of booths selling snacks, souvenirs, and other items. The corridor is illuminated from sunset until 10 p.m. during the festival.

    バスツアーで行きました。 駐車場から河口湖方面に歩いて行き、道路沿いから土手のようなところを入って行きます。回廊自体は長くなく、出口付近には工芸品の露店が並びます。 小さなライトが道を飾っていました。 一度行けば充分ですね。

It's not only popular for walking, the well maintained forest roads are great for driving.

    真冬に訪れたが、晴れた日は暖かく、富士山と南アルプスのコラボレーションが一望できます。山梨県から見る平原と富士山がとてもキレイです。

It is lit up at night every year during flower season, resulting in a mysterious nighttime cherry tree view to enjoy.

    The waters of this spring well up on the grounds of Otaki Shrine in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Pouring from a trough carved from a log, the waters of the spring are pure and clear and were selected for inclusion in the Japanese Top 100 Famous Water list in 1985 as part of the springs of the plateau at the southern foot of Yatsugatake. Visitors may draw and drink the spring's waters. Around 12° C, the abundant waters of the spring have supported the lives of local residents since ancient times, and even today they are used to irrigate rice paddies and raise rainbow trout. The surrounding area is maintained as a park, and in the spring visitors can enjoy the area's fresh verdure, while in the fall visitors can take in beautiful autumn foliage.

    Located a fifteen-minute walk from Shimpu Station or a 20-minute drive from Nirasaki Interchange. It's a famous location for flower viewing located not far from the Shimpu Castle Ruins and the Nokenjo Castle Ruins. The entire area is planted with peach trees that come into bloom from mid to late April. The trees are the latest blooming in the prefecture so if you've missed other chances you'll still be able to come see these. You'll also be able to see not just Mt. Fuji but also the Yatsugatake Mountain Range and Mt. Kayagatake. The view during the right season with the peach blossoms or the rape blossoms and the snow covered Southern Alps is magnificent.
