They brew sake sticking to an ideal of, 'Carefully brewing only as much as they can keep watch over, ensuring that the sake they send to the world is the highest possible quality'. And being located in Fukui, producing area of top quality Gohyakuman-goku sake rice, they continue to produce quality Junmai sake. Sake they have for sale includes their famous Hanagaki label.

    七間通りにあるので、見つけやすいです。 試飲は3種類くらいさせてくれます。 どれも美味しかったので、4本購入しました。 宅急便でも送れるし、カードも使えたので有難いです。 お店の方の対応がとても丁寧で、素敵でした。

    A traditional craft museum located on Washinosato Street in Shinzaike-cho 9-Chome, Echizen City. The building was originally a papermaking house dating back to the mid Edo period and you can explore the entirety of the traditional Echizen-Washi papermaking technique, which dates back nearly 1500 years. They also hold traditional Nagashizuki papermaking courses that you can attend. The local area has long been known as a papermaking area and includes other facilities such as the Paper and Culture Museum.

This long-standing sake brewery first opened in 1751 and located in the Echizen Ono region, a known producing area for the Gohyakuman-goku sake rice and famous for its spring water, they continue to use traditional techniques in their sake production. They produce sake that has been highly valued at both domestic and international competitions including their Junmai Dai-Ginjo Sow label.

    試飲のスタイルがセルフで、冷蔵庫から自分で取り出して試飲できます。 結果、10種類くらい試飲させて頂きました。 どれも美味しかったけど、その中から4本を購入。 ワインのような口当たりの日本酒もあり、新しいことに挑戦している感じがあり、面白かったです。

Along with viewing the brewing process and shopping for goods visitors can also visit the attached mini-museum which has nearly 2000 different local beers on display from all around Japan. In the rest stop next door, Wakasa Kaiyu Bazaar Chidorien, you can enjoy a seafood buffet with all you can drink Wakasa Beer.
