The shop's walls are covered with photographs and signatures of celebrities and politicians. The shop's signature croquettes are pleasantly round. Made by hand one a time each morning at 5:00 a.m., their rough, crisp fried outer crust enwraps a fluffy potato filling. Aiming to provide customers with that hot out of the fryer flavor, the shop only cooks the croquettes to order, ensuring you can enjoy one of these gems piping hot any time. Other items on offer include menchikatsu deep fried minced meat cutlets and takeout yakiton grilled pork skewers. The shop is so popular, lines of waiting customers often form outside the door.

Since the shop was established in 1940, it has provided the kitchens of the citizens of Kanazawa with fresh, seasonal seafood. The shop stocks over 500 varieties of seafood from across Japan with a focus on local seafood from Ishikawa, Toyama, and Fukui. The shop boasts the largest sales space in the market, stocking an abundant variety of fresh seafood caught just that morning in nearby waters on weekdays as well as Sunday. The shop also carries dried fish, delicacies, Kaga fu wheat gluten, nukazuke rice bran pickles, and other popular Hokuriku products. In addition, you can buy various grilled skewer dishes and sushi here which can be enjoyed on the spot.
