    Located a nine-minute walk from Toyama Station's north gate, this water park capitalizes on the history of Fugan Canal, which extends 5.1 kilometers to sea. This beautiful green waterside space completely Fugan Canal, which was once a boat harbor. Of its many attractions, we especially recommend visiting the Fountain Square, which is very popular with children, taking a lively cruise on the Fugan Suijo Line, and tasting the great coffee at the Starbucks Coffee Toyama Kansui Park store that is known for its breathtaking beauty. The park is a place where people of all ages can share a pleasant moment together. A great number of enjoyable events including firework and light displays are held year round.

    A leisurely 20 mins stroll from Toyama Station lead us to this beautiful park. We ascended to top of tower (Tenmon-kyo Bridge Tower) to have a panoramic view of the area. Nice place for exercise and...

    Tonami Tulip Park is a park located on National Route 359 in Hanazono Town, Tonami City. Around three million tulips of 700 different varieties are grown here each year; the Tonami Tulip Fair, which is held in spring each year, is a major attraction. Interesting sights inside the Park include the Tulip Tower, which has become a symbol of the Park, the Tulip Gallery, where visitors can view displays about tulips, etc., and the Waterwheel Garden, which features the five largest waterwheels in Japan.

    I have no doubt that when you come here during the festival seasons this park is amazing,l and it still is however I didnt see any tulips in the park itself. Loads of other flowers but no tulips...

    "This park, which has a theme of ""play with nature, learn with nature, engage with friends,"" is brimming with flowers and greenery. Located a 15-minute walk from JR Shin-Takaoka Station, guests are greeted by fairies in the ""Yokoso Kadan"" (welcome flower bed) located at the entrance. The park has a wide range of other attractions including a rose garden and a row of wooden arches. You are sure to feel like you have been transported to the land of fairy tales! Another part of the park features a recreation of the vacant lot from the animated series Doraemon, even down to the earthen pipes. Visitors can fully experience the world of Doraemon. The park also has large play set and a botanical garden each designed to allow children to peacefully commune with nature."

    We went out of our way to this park on 4th April 2023 to see the Doraemon statues as I am a big fan. Unfortunately they are not there anymore. Only the Doraemon clock is there. I was extremely...

    This park is located about a 15-minute drive from Tonami Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway. It features a number of facilities where visitors can learn about the area's history and traditions while surrounded by its nature. These include the Shogawa Wood Plaza, the Tokusankan, the Shogawa Memorial Museum of Sotojiro Matsumura, and more. The Shogawa Wood Plaza, which sells souvenirs, local specialties, and other items, features free foot baths. Its yuzu citrus soft-serve ice cream, a local specialty, is also popular. The Tokusankan, which is symbolized by a massive water fountain that shoots water 35 meters into the air, exhibits and sells works of Shogawa turnery, a traditional woodcraft of the region.

    2時間で全部回れないほど色々と観る場所があります。 コロナ禍の為か、閉店してしまったお店も多くさびれた感じも受けましたが、本当に広くて沢山歩きました。美術館などあったのですが、丁度休館日でしたので入ることが出来なくて残念でした。川に降りて行く公園もありましたが、ダムのすぐ上流なので、川自体は怖かったです。

    This historical park is adjacent to the national historical landmark Fudo-do Temple Ruins. The park covers over 10,000 square meters and hosts a wide lawn for various events and light sports, as well as a recreation of an Edo period machiya townhouse. The park management building is in the old Kawakami manor, and the section recreates the towns hey-day as a stop-over town in the mid Edo period. The dignified building holds a dirt-floor room and firepit, and is a recreation of the oldest machiya in the prefecture. Inside, they hold sessions on making Asahi Town's famous Batabata tea.

    やぶきたの発酵茶バタバタ茶が、移築された古民家の囲炉裏端で飲めました。無料。 晴れていたので、雪でまだ真っ白い頂きの朝日岳、多分白馬岳も見え景色良かったです。 同じ場所に竪穴式住居再現の博物館あり。 「なないろ館」でバカでかいヒスイ原石見て、お昼を食べ、コーヒー頂きました。ゆっくりしました。

    This natural park located a 15-minute drive from the Noetsu Expressway's Takaoka Interchange was opened in 1875 on the site of Takaoka Castle, originally built by Maeda Toshinaga. The park, surrounded by three moats that have remained almost untouched since the castle was built, is one of Japan's few moated parks. The large 210,000 square-meter park houses a number of facilities including Imizu-jinja Shrine, a zoo, a museum, a gymnasium, and more. The park is home to many examples of cherry blossoms, Japanese maples, Japanese zelkovas, pine trees, and other species. It has also been selected as one of Japan's best 100 cherry blossoms viewing spots and is the main venue for the Takaoka Manyo Festival.

The observation deck offers a chance to enjoy the beautiful view of Toyama City and the Tateyama mountain range and also beautiful nightscape. It's known as a beautiful cherry blossom spot in spring.

    Located nearly in the center of Toyama Prefecture some five kilometers west of Hokuriku Expressway's Tateyama Interchange, this park makes use of the Joganji River's floodplain. The parks facilities include a dedicated athletic ground that can be used for baseball, soccer, and rugby, as well as a turfed athletic ground that can be used for gateball and other activities. The park serves as a place for rest and relaxation for people of all ages. In the barbequing corner, which features 21 earthen stoves, families and groups can enjoy a casual cookout.

    Aqua Park is adjacent to Kurobe City Park, a 15-minute walk from Kurobe Station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway in the city of Kurobe, Toyama Prefecture. It contains Japan's largest artificial waterfall, 121 meter-wide Sarara Falls, and Yurara Waterfront, which use highly processed water from the city's sewage plant. Two thousand tons of rocks from the Kurobegawa River and a variety of trees have been used to create a model landscape of the Kurobe Gorge from the Northern Japan Alps on downward. Visitors can relax and forget their troubles by taking advantage of a footbath heated by biomass.

    This urban park brimming with water and greenery, built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Toyama Prefecture's founding, is a five-minute drive from Kosugi Interchange. on Hokuriku Expressway. At 1.18 million square meters, it is the largest park in Toyama Prefecture. The park is equipped with all the facilities needed to pay all day, including outdoor athletic fields and playground equipment. The train used to move around the park in particular is one of its biggest symbols. Styled after a steam locomotive, the train is popular with children. During the summer, the park's pool area featuring eight different facilities such as the Aqua Twist slide and a lazy river pool is bustling with families and couples.

The area is also planted with a variety of cherry trees, making it a famous spot for hanami cherry-blossom viewing parties. You can also see gyoiko cherry, with their green-tinged blossoms.

    This park was originally called Gionden, because it was once part of Kyoto Gion-sha temple's gardens, it became Gyoden in the local accent. Famous for its spring cherry blossoms, early summer Japanese irises, and the Gyoden no Sawashimizu spring water (one of the Top 100 Heisei Famous Water), its most impressive sight is probably the iris blooming season from mid- to late-June.

    This leisure park is at the mouth of the Hayatsuki River, flowing through the southwest end of Uozu City. There is a scenic outlook offering a view of the Tateyama Mountain Range in the distance, with Toyama Bay right in front of your eyes. There are about 350 cherry trees in the park, of the Yoshino and Sato-zakura varieties, and is designated one of Toyama's 70 best cherry blossom viewing spots. In the height of cherry blossom season, the Sakura Pageant festival is held on a weekend, and the trees are lit up at night.

Toyama is one of the three prefectures that house the Japanese Alps, with its southern and eastern borders comprising one long stretch of mountains, out of which the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is forged. While traditional crafts fill the northern coastal cities of Toyama and Takaoka, thatched roof houses offer unrivalled views against a backdrop of fantastic scenery at Gokayama in the mountainous area in the south of the prefecture.
