This ropeway runs approximately one kilometer from behind Yahiko Shrine to the summit of Mt. Yahiko. It is a ten-minute walk from Yahiko Shrine to the base station, and there is also a free shuttle bus between the two. The ropeway was opened in 1958. The summit station can be reached in approximately five minutes, and a majestic view of the Echigo Plains and the mountains can be seen in the distance as you climb the mountain. Additionally, in the summer, there is a Yakei and Hoshizora Cruise (Night View and Starry Sky Cruise) available for people to enjoy watching the sun set over the Sea of Japan and to see the vast Echigo Plains at night. The ropeway is the perfect place to watch the sun setting beyond the Japanese sea and also to see the night view of the Echigo Plains. And in the fall, the autumn leaves cover the mountains, giving the ropeway gorgeous scenery in every season.

We took the bus in the park to the ropeway kiosk, bought our tickets just in time to catch the next carriage up to the top. Spectacular views across Yahiko and beyond. We didn’t stay to long at the...

This park is located just outside the JR Yahiko Station, and covers an area of 160,000 square meters. There is an abundance of nature in the park for visitors to enjoy, with a waterfall and mountain streams, and seasonal flowers such as azaleas and irises. The highlight of the park is the Kangetsukyo bridge in the Maple Valley, which was modeled on the old wooden bridge. In the fall, the entire area is famous for how it turns red with a sea of autumn leaves, which harmonize perfectly with the red of the bridge. And in the evening, the park is lit up, making it a popular place for tourists to visit. There are also tennis courts and playground equipment in the park, which can be enjoyed by parents and children.

we spent half a day at the park on 12-Nov. The fall colors were amazing! its right next to the Yahiko shrine, so, you can hit both sites at one stop. There were a few tour groups at 3pm. I suggest...

This park is on the banks of the Nishikawa River in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. A huge stone weir that controls the flow of the river is visible from the park. Some of that water is diverted into the park, and there are water facilities that children can play in. There is also playground equipment like swings and slides, and there are nice spots for a rest like an arbor and benches. There are over 600 flowering cherry and other trees that are lit up at night during peak season. The Bunsui Kimono Parade is held during the Tsubame Cherry Blossom Festival on the third Sunday in April.

The current main hall was built in the Meiji period, and the seven magnificent buildings - the main hall, guest house, bell tower, pagoda, Senbutsudo, Banjindo and main gate are all contained within temple compound, covering almost five acres of land. There is also a garden within the compound, called the Sankien, which is maintained by the city residents and the temple's followers.
