    This tourist commodity center is adjacent to the JR Itoigawa Station. As the first stop for people sight-seeing in Itoigawa, there are souvenir shops selling goods such as local sake and confectionery, and B-grade gourmet restaurants, which serve Itoigawa Black Yakisoba, among other local delicacies, as well as a tourist information center, which has information on the various tourist attractions in the area such as Itoigawa Geopark. Another must-see is the 8-ton Jadeite stone, which is unique to Itoigawa. Nearby, there is a jade factory, which sells original jade accessories.

    糸魚川駅の南口に、ヒスイ王国館がありました。館内にはヒスイを販売するコーナーのほかに、糸魚川のおみやげがいろいろそろっている物産センターもあり、２階には観光案内所もありました。 列車で糸魚川に着いたら糸魚川の情報を得に、または糸魚川を出発する前に糸魚川のおみやげを探しに訪れるとよいですね。

    At the Roadside Station Tsubame-Sanjo Regional Industries Promotion Center, the Regional Products Store displays and sells Sanjo cutlery, and the restaurant Messepia features a choice of cutlery and local dishes. Both are popular. At the Regional Products Store, you can buy souvenirs with that special Niigata flavor, such as local sake, koshihikari rice and Echigo sweets, in addition to western kitchenware and knives. Approximately five minutes by car via Sanjo Tsubame Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway.

    Juichiya is a souvenir shop located in the Matsunoyama Onsen resort in Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture. It is a striking building with tiled roof and white walls. Many people come to browse and buy from the large selection of specialty products, cakes, and goods from Matsunoyama Onsen and the local area. Among them, popular items include Shinko Mochi, a local specialty of slightly sweet bean paste wrapped in the finest quality mochi, and their Western style Mukonage Manju (a bun with a bean paste filling), as well as cosmetics and skin-care products which use water from the hot spring.

    This is a long-established souvenir shop located in front of Myoko Kogen Station, and the yellow tent in the shop is a landmark. Inside the store are a variety of Myoko souvenirs such as sasadango (mugwort-flavored mochi and red beans wrapped in bamboo leaves) and buckwheat, handmade dumplings wrapped in leaves, nozawa-na vegetables, oyaki (vegetable dumplings), and a cooking paste made from chili pepper used frequently in local homes. Seasonal mountain plants such as primula farinose with its cute flowers are also available in a special space behind the store.

    小木港フェリーターミナルの隣で、3階連絡通路でターミナルと直結しています。 ツアーのランチでイカ釜めしをいただきました。イカは炊き込んではなく、柔らかくておいしかったです。名産の柿のデザートまでつき、結構なボリュームでした。ブリカが食べたかったけれど…。 1階の売店はお土産を買うのに便利です。

    村上市鮭公園の一角、イヨボヤ会館に隣接しています。入口に塩引き鮭が吊るされていました。２階のレストランには、鮭を使ったメニュー以外にもラーメンやカレーライスもありました。１階はお土産売り場で、塩引き鮭の他にも鮭とば、昆布巻きやはらこといったお正月の食卓に合いそうな商品が並んでいました。一本鮭をお歳暮に購入しているお客さんが数名いらっしゃいました。

    味噌漬けで有名な柏崎の店が、弥彦神社参道にもオープンしました。試飲・試食が豊富で、店内は満員でした。ゆず風味の甘酒、5種以上の味噌漬け、味噌汁など、どれも試食でき、美味しかったです。味噌漬けは、試食して気に入った物を買うのも良し、迷ったらミックスを買うのも良しです。

    瀬波温泉を通る日本海パークライン沿いにある土産物店です。外見はトラディショナルかつスタンダードな土産物店といった感じです。夏季は21:00までとかなり遅い時間まで開いていますので、ゆっくりと買い物できると思います。キャッシュレスに対応しているのもいいですね。

    弥彦神社の参拝を終えて少し休憩。 表参道沿いにある杉山さんを訪れました。 お店は一見お土産物屋さんのようですが、店内にいくつかのテーブルがあって店先の売店で注文した軽食をいただくことができます。 ところてんと味噌こんにゃく、冷やし甘酒を注文。 暑い中いただく冷やし甘酒とところてんは格別美味しさ。 ところてんは弥彦名物。割りばしが一本だけ添えられて、それでところてんを手繰っていただくのが弥彦流なのだ...

    三国街道塩沢宿「牧之通り(ぼくしどおり)」にある土産物店です。雛祭り前だったので店内でもお雛様が見られました。お米やお菓子、調味料、乾物等の食品、地酒、ぐい飲みやお猪口、雑貨、創作人形と品揃え豊富でした。見応えあります。

    堆朱とは漆を塗り重ねて文様を彫り表わす漆工技法ですが、村上地方では約６００年前に京都から寺院建築に携わった漆工によって始められたそうです。江戸時代に木彫堆朱が藩内に広がり、進歩発展してきました。池田屋では名工の村上堆朱作品が展示されており、目の保養ができます。オリジナルのグルメマップも人気があります。

    弥彦駅から通りを真っ直ぐに進むと左手にあります。 向かいに駐車場もあります。 夜までお店が開いています。 粒餡も置いてありましたが、夜は漉餡しか売っていないようです。 蒸してくれたら、もっと美味しかったかもしれません。
