A café located just down a hill from Miyanoshita Station. The café operates out of a remodeled building which once served as a dorm for the employees of the renowned Naraya Ryokan, an inn which had operated since the Edo period, before it closed. The abundance of plain, natural exposed wood in the café gives it a warm atmosphere, and here visitors can enjoy light meals like oven-fired pizzas, drinks, and sakes. The café has a spacious wood deck which connects with the adjoining Naraya-an shop. There is a natural hot spring foot bath situated in the deck, and patrons can use it to soothe tired feet which enjoying one of the café’s beverages or dishes.

A commercial facility located close to Hakone Port in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture distinguished by its tiled roof and Japanese modern-style exterior. On the first floor, famous Odawara shops stand side-by-side like an old post station town, a veritable treasure trove of souvenirs and culinary treats. Suzuhiro Kamaboko’s takoyaki-like kamaboko (fish dumplings) are particularly popular and can be enjoyed in the shop’s eat-in space. Located in the mountains of Matsuda Town, it's a great place to relax while gazing out at the seasonal mountain scenery. Their healthy menu features environmentally friendly growth of vegetables and items like dry curry with homemade pickles and pizza toast made with natural yeast and domestic wheat. They have lots of organic drinks available, including an array of organic teas.

涼しい店内でわんちゃんとお食事出きるのは嬉しいです。カレーもハンバーグも普通に美味しかったです。わんちゃん用お肉も頂きました。喜んで食べていました。入口で注文して自分で取りにいって自分で片付けます。お値段もリーズナブルでした。隣はドックランになってます。こちらだけ利用なら駐車料金は取られなかったですが、ドックラン利用するとドックラン料金プラス駐車料金取られました。

This tea lounge is located inside the Hakone Hotel, built on the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. The large glass panel walls lend a spaciousness to the inside of the shop, and allow patrons to take in the lovely view of green grass and the blue lake surface. This café is located in a remodeled retro building that used to be the bus waiting area for Hakone’s well-established Fujiya Hotel. Based on the concept of “eat azuki and drink coffee,” it is a unique shop where customers can enjoy the taste of Japanese sweets and coffee. Items like their azuki parfait, zenzai (red bean soup) and Puka Puka-no-Tsuki in which soy milk and milk are topped over ice cream and fruits are popular. This dessert restaurant is run directly by the full-fledged resort hotel Hotel de Yama, and is built on the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. On the terrace seats adjacent to the pier one can enjoy the feeling of almost akin to floating on the lake. As a business that has been designated as a “shop for delicious tea” by the Japan Tea Association, it regularly stocks more than 20 types of black tea from famous tea plantations. Enjoy an elegant time as you choose between traditional apple pie and other desserts made with seasonal fruits.

It has been an outstanding experience- the view, food quality, presentation, and friendly staff. nothing to add. A bit long waiting time, but worth it!

Guests can choose coffee made from one of four types of coffee beans, and it is exquisite coffee carefully made with a hand-drip method. The cold-brewed coffee that is extracted for nearly five hours from specialty coffee beans is also popular. The shop offers a complete set of home-made cakes and sandwiches, and the interior has a quiet atmosphere like that of a hideaway with spacious, relaxing sofa seats available.

This white-walled café is located around five minutes on foot along the road in front of Hakone Yumoto Station and its appeal is the retro atmosphere of the renovated building. It is proud of its sweets using tofu and soy milk made with the famous Hakone water, Himenomizu. The most popular item is the tofu waffle, cooked to fluffy perfection from a batter containing tofu and served with red bean jam and fruit. The stylish interior is lined with craft items and knick-knacks that you can browse while savouring the coffee and the healthy sweets.

This is a seemingly unremarkable cafe in Hakone, but the people are great and the menu, while small, was good. I suggest trying the white guava juice - odd, but refreshing.

This is a food court restaurant directly linked to Hakone Yumoto Station by a covered walkway; perhaps you can drop by when you have a moment while you are waiting for your train or for a break from sightseeing. It offers many delicious Hakone dishes such as its mince katsu burger made from juicy Hakone Sanroku pork or the workman’s lunch of rice in soup from its sister restaurant Yubadon Naokichi. The popular raw tofu shake using plenty of good quality tofu is offered in five different flavours. Bright light shines in from the large windows through which customers can see the nature of Hakone and the counter seats with a view of the mountain railway are also popular.

I’m not sure why some of the reviews have been so critical. We just ate here and were blown away:really reasonable prices, fantastic location, incredibly gracious service even by Japanese standards...

This is a bakery and cafe in Hakone-Yumoto Station, the gateway to Hakone’s tourist spots, and here one can enjoy the premium flavors of the Odakyu Group which operates famous hotels. On the interior shelves are 45 kinds of fresh breads made with premium wheat, yeast and water, as well as nearly 20 deli options produced by one of their hotel chefs. This Japanese-style cafe is hidden away about a three-minute walk from Kami-Gora Station. It has an adjoining flower shop full of lovely blossoms. The menu is full of homemade items, with the homemade pizza and tomato-based curry with lots of fillings being especially popular. It opens at 7 in the morning and serves bread made onsite along with soup, fried eggs, and more in a popular breakfast set. Pets are allowed at the terrace seats or in the Japanese-style space indoors. A women’s only hot spring is available as well.

Megumi runs a lovely little cafe with plenty of freshly baked treats. We had breakfast here and she helped us plan out our day, she even gave us a map. Really recommend.

Studio Cafe SHIMA is a café area in Shima photo studio located about two minutes’ walk from Goura Station. Inside the studio, it displays photographic plates that show Hakone in the early Showa period (early 18th century). You can also view weeping cherry trees and snow-scapes from its windows depending on the season and feel the history and nature of Hakone while enjoying specialty coffee and the homemade cake of the day.

Stopped for a coffee. Tempted by the cakes. Glad we did. They were delicious! Friendly service, and some English spoken - which helps.

箱根に行くと必ず行きます。お気に入りはキュウイジュースとマンゴーミルク、とっても美味しいです。コーヒーも深い味わいがあり、サンドイッチもフワフワで野菜もシャキシャキ新鮮で美味しいです。何よりゆっくり寛げるのが魅力です。最後に出てくるお茶も良いですね。そして店長様が丁寧で腰が低く接客が素晴らしいです。ウェトレスさんも、気配りが良かったです。箱根旅行の楽しみです。
